Yet more pure sexual chocolate.

The Dark Eldar range is a winner across the board and I've yet to see a mini for this that I didn't like.

The Pain Engines in particular, like maxxed out grotesques, are excellent.

I will also, like panic, be looking for a trade out on the bat wings though, as the feathered ones are much more interesting to me.

I'm liking the look of all of this. Particularly the venom, very stripped back. You could imagine that bulleting across the battlefield and I'm sure a tactic that will get used.

The only ones i'm not really sold on the the scourges, I was expecting a more feral and dark sinister look. That way they would be more fitting with their fluff. These are more just dark eldar with wings. I'm not even keen on the idea of the bat wings.
Maybe I had too many preconceptions from the fluff.

Again let down by the birds, there is a growing theme here.

I love the Cronos - in fact all them.

Venom looks a little bland to me, but it's still very nice.

So the Dark Eldar line is still on a winning streak for me. Absolutely no models I don't like.

The Cronos in particular looks brilliantly creepy.

Maybe I am blind but how big are the engines? trying to gauge their size from the pictures but I am failing and I feel I have missed something important!

Great models as has been the case for all the new DE. I like the venom since I play Eldar, but it is very small for the amount of models it holds (granted so are all vehicles). This one just looks like a vyper without the weapons and guys hanging off the wings lol

Still cool tho and Im going to buy a few for Eldar

I knoticed this too.

Looking at the pain engine and comparing with the size of the flying stand it is on, not as big as you might think. I'm imagining it at just a bit bulkier and about as tall as a hive tyrant. Maybe a bit bigger again.

Hard to judge seen as there arn't too many things in GW range that are a similar size.

The Engines aren't that big. For a size comparison, they're on the same sized flying base as a raider.

OMG the scourges are the most beautiful models i've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 boxes i think will do me.

IMO my vyper-venoms look fine compared to the new venom. Not a fan of the fleshy bits on the Engines either but i guess they can just be painted black.

I love that Talos, its INSANE! Lots of bitz!

It's kind of like a chaos spawn, but is actually useful (in game terms) , and has tons of bitz!

It seems I may be the only one that's not too keen on the Talos; I love the Scourges however. These models keep making me want to start a DE army, but I don't even like the DE. Mission accomplished for GW; give Jes a raise.

It's about time!

I love them & am pleased that my internal prediction for the Battleforce was right

However I hate what I'm not seeing, my Wracks & Gortesques...damn them! The Talos/Cronus are sweet and the Scourges are beautiful.

This wave of new releases solidifies my opinion that the Dark Eldar currently consist of all the best models in 40k.

Those scourges are amazing, and I must buy at least two venoms.

I'm loving the venoms for a Saim-Hann jetbike army. Just clip off the two splinter cannons, add some underslung shurikens and any heavy weapon, and you've got a barbaric craftworld look with those pikes and blades. The model is so small that it can be easily imagined as a support weapon vehicle rather than a transport.

Venoms are just ok for me, look a bit too craftworldy, and this is the first time I have seen a production model look almost identical to the conversions done by the community! Take a look at bushido's de venom thread in p and m... He nailed it months ago!

Although I am only lukewarm on the venoms, the scourges and talos/Cronos are pure 100% win in my book.

Great job gw and jes!

Now, GW, just need plastic/resin Wracks and Grotesques and I will mail a signed blank cheque directly to you. Take as much money as you want.

EDIT: Oh my god those razorwings. I'm going to need like eleven of them.

I am another one in the minority on the new look Talos; I'm not sure I really like it, as it's a bit too much like a Grotesque. I preferred the original mechanical scorpion look. The Cronos looks genuinely creepy, however, and matches its fluff very nicely.

I really like the Venom. It looks great - fast and minimalist, rather like an upscaled skyboard. I suspect I will be buying several of these. And although I wasn't that interested in the Scourges, having seen them I think they are very well done, and far more elegant and sinister than the artwork had suggested they would be. I think their feet are a bit big though.

Zweischneid wrote:Razorwing at Warseer

Nice find! It's quite cool, if a little too conventional looking. Hopefully the Voidraven, with its gunner's 'chrystal pod' forward of the cockpit, will look a bit more interesting. I also noticed that it has some very Eldar-y features, such as the engines. Overall, it looks more like an Eldar aircraft than a DE one.

No need to purchase mire FWflyers (Nightwing and Phoenix I have one of each), as that fighter puts the nightwing to shame!

I will however probably get another Voiddragon Phoenix...
