Man I need to get my initial release dark eldar painted up so I can make some good excuses to buy all these. They are awsome! GW has come so far in their models it unbelievable. I sitting here looking at the old warrior models and there is just no comparison. I'm so glad they came out with venoms for a while I thought there were just trying to boost vyper sales.

Cronos, Talos and Razorwings: Wow. Just wow.

Scourges and Venom: Nice, but not mind-blowng. The venom looks a bit like expected. And I'm not crazy about the different wings in the Scourge box. Makes me wonder if there are 5 feathers wing sets and 5 bat wings sets.

Also, for the work-blocked, what all is in the Battleforce?

The Dark Eldar have come closer to getting me to buy new models than anything GW has produced in years. Just some really great looking models.

I like everything in this current release. Of them all, though, the Venom is the most disappointing. I'd have preferred to see it look more... "gothic" (I guess) like a raider than Craftworldy.
I still like it, though.

This release is going to hurt.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought so! All I have to say is that every single one of these new models completely blew me away, I was almost drooling looking at the Talos/Cronos, I want to buy two kits and I've never even used one in a game.

I love the Venom, again, don't use them at all (yet) but I want to pick one up anyways.

The battleforce is awesome, such a good selection and a great price, if you ask me. If I don't get any Warriors or Wyches (well, maybe if I just don't get the Wyches) for my birthday, I'll definitely be picking up this box this summer. I could deal with having three squads of Warriors.

That Razorwing is flipping gorgeous.

Finally, the Scourges. I almost fell off my chair. Make fun of me if you want, but I'm going to honestly say that they are the most magnificent models I have ever seen. I was highly anticipating the release of them, I had outrageously high expectations for them, and even still, those expectations were shattered by the sheer incredible quality of these models. I noticed there's quite a mixed feeling about the feathered and bat wings. I love that they have both, I did NOT expect them to throw bat wings in with the Scourges. Beautiful execution.

I salute you, GWS, you've kept the Dark Eldar as the most awesome looking army in the game (my opinion!), I'm very proud to be a DE player.

All in all, this. This sums it up quite nicely.

Yep, I'm with Fragile Breath. The updated Dark Eldar line are the best looking models GW have ever produced, period.

Hell, DEldar are the only army I've started purely on the strength of how good the models are. They could be the least competitive army in the game, I'd still play them.

I can't believe it, the Scourges are somewhat reasonably priced. After some of the other recent new sets for other armies and price hikes on existing models, it's amazing.

I thought it was a Ravenwing? Razorwings are the little birds.

Well there goes my next paycheck. I am definitely getting some of these. I like my batwing model too, but I guess I will use it as a Voidraven and these others as Ravenwings.

Now if we could just get a pic of the wracks, grotesques, and possible homunculi.

I'm majorly impressed with the new models. They all look fantastic, especially the Talos/Cronos - it just looks nasty.

I'm shocked that I'm saying this, but I'm sorely tempted to pick up a Battleforce and possibly get a small 1k point army together. Bad idea, but I am really loving these new models.

edit: And damn, just saw the Razorwing. That looks fething awesome. GW, you may have shamed me with the Grey Knights, but stop trying to call me in with all your beautiful DE! Curses!

It makes up for the over priced beastmaster travesty. I don't know if its just because I normally judge GW prices on a completely different scale to everything else, but I think all of these are really reasonably priced

Bits services are going to make a killing selling those Venom Wych riders. It looks like you'd need to use one Venom kit in order to outfit a single Raider and three for a Ravager.

Ugh, my planned transports are going to be expensive.

Apart from the Talos/Pain engine (almost a complete ripoff of Privateer Press), I love the models. The scourges are particularly nice.

$25 for 5 models is "somewhat reasonably priced"? I suppose compared to some of the latest releases for other armies, but that still seems pretty steep.

$25 for 5 models when the unit size is 3-10 isn't bad at all when you consider the size of them once the wings are thrown in.

It could have been $25 for 3. And then we would have had cries of 'boned!'.

I must be in the minority, I am very unimpressed with the Talos/Chronos. It's executed well, but I'm just not feeling the design. The old skin-flayed pilot design was silly, but I think the new brute with hockey mask design is just as silly. It's just a more stylish form of silly.

The Venom is nice.

The Scourges are really nice. Superb. In fact, I'd go so far as to say they represent an unsurpassed achievement in model making. These days when I look at a GW model, I can pretty much tell instantly if they are metal or plastic. Plastic models tend to reveal themselves by the way they are posed- in order to make plastics fit together in a variety of ways, some degree of natural human posing must usually be sacrificed. They rarely have a natural sense of motion. These Scourges look so natural I just presumed they were all-metal. To see they're actually an 80-piece plastic kit is astounding. I would love to see the bits and see how people do with assembling them- if there are just a couple combinations that work or if everyone can put together models looking that dynamic.

The Razorwing surprises me only that it doesn't look quite as bladey/pointy as I expected it to. It looks more like a legitimate aircraft. This is not a complaint by the way, just a surprise.
