I am absolutely blown away by these models!

I'm exciited buy the picture on the scourge box, they actually come with an official Venom Blade! not a tough conversion from the power weapon that comes with everything else, but I always Like having the official versions.

my jaw dropped when I saw the Talos/Cronos. not at all what I was expecting, but so creepy that I can't help but love them! I've wanted to do a coven army since the codex came out and I think this just cemented the idea in my mind.

I love that the Venom looks pretty much perfect to the codex art, and also looks like a big version of the Hellion skyboard.

Soooo glad I just got a new job!

What model? I'm curious because if PP had models of this quality I might consider playing it (even if it is in metal )

I love these models. I've been going back and forth with the idea of building an Admech force counts-as force for my DE but these models might make me use the real thing.....oh my imperial forces are gonna be sad if that happens.....

It could have been $25 for 3. And then we would have had cries of 'boned!'.

hellions are $25 for 5 as well.

Im going to be making myself a squad of 10 scourges with hellglaves as I HATE the idea of 41st millenium soldiers going to battle on skyboards.

25$ for 5 jump pack models is actually a good deal considering the price now is 33$ for 5 (as per BA death company and GKs due to teleporter packs)

I suspect he's referring to some of the Cryxian helljacks. Some of the armor panelling is a bit similar.

me......those models are just brilliant! Got home and was like ho hum whats new with gw today, saw the pre-order and was gobsmacked.
Been looking for an excuse to redo my dark eldar (1st army I owned/played with) and those new models have just put the icing on the cake.

Big thumbs up

Wow, this is the first time I can ever remember where almost 100% of the comments are in favor of the models. Usually when new models are released, like 70% say they like it and around 30% don't. But this time, it's like 99% of the comments love the new models.

They do look awesome though. Makes me wish I played DE. Maybe I can kitbash the Talos/Cronos to make a hardcore Painboss or something. Hmm....I must think on this....

Wow. All these new pictures have instantly killed my hobby slump and I don't even play DE.

That razorwing is outstanding looking.

Best yet though, I can't wait to get a talos to make a new Slaanesh daemon prince. And here I thought my trygon tail prince was cool...

Given how much PP has borrowed from GW, I think that's a fair exchange. And yes I know GW have taken ideas from lots of other sources.

Normally I'd be giddy over something as awesome as the Scourges, but I think the Talos and Cronos completely overshadows them imo. And unlike some of the other stuff (DreadKnight and the Clawed Fiend) it looks distinctly 40k as opposed to blurring the line between PP and it.

Well, there goes money this summer for anything that isn't Dark Eldar.

May try to convert one of the Talos to move the hanging body into a more horizontal scorpion arrangement.

Wow. Just... wow. That's it - I'm getting into DE.

By the way, how awesome is that DE battlebox? 2 troops choices, a transport, and a fast attack option that are all decent in an actual army. Just toss in an HQ and you're good to go!

would have been soooo much nicer if they had swapped out the reavers for scourges. Reavers are fun but not very competative. Also who doesnt have 10 reavers from the last battleforce.

Indeed. The bat winged ones can also probably produce Vampire Heroes.

Yes, I was referring to the Cryxian Helljacks and Stalker. The armor and other parts are very reminiscent of Privateer Press. But then again, PP makes some of the best miniatures in wargaming, so I don't blame GW for trying to copy them.

I am disappointed to hear that the scourge models aren't 100% plastic. Hope that isn't true.

Ummm...

Says right on the website that it's a Multipart Plastic kit. They tell us when it's Hybrid.

The scourges are lovely, and I might have to get some regardless of my (current) lack of a DE army.

The Talos/Chronos... is sort of disapointing. It looks too much like something from Warmachine.

I am glad I converted 3 because now if I buy 2 I will still have enough room to make 5 different looking ones.

Exactly: the Dark Eldar plastics seem to immune to the pricing of the rest of GW's lines; Grey Knight "jump infantry" are $33 for 5. The Scourges are the same price as Eldar Swooping Hawks, and the quality seems... higher, shall we say.

That is to say, for $5 per model, you can get this...

Or this,

To be fair, Swooping Hawks are really old models, and they're metal. Nonetheless, Scourges are just so much more awesome.

Incidentally, I think they were made by the same person in two different eras.
