Yay!!!!!

Oh, wait, I just sold 3 and no longer buy anything from GW

You should use it as an opportunity to start a (new) WarMachine/Hordes/Infinity/Malifaux/Flames of War/Brushfire army!

I really hope it's at least an internal abbreviation. IoB and AoBR were relatively unknown abbreviations. PoS is too easy.

They weren't the Christmas megaforces (which have cropped up in their Christmas leaflet which was packed with this month's WD for the record). These were something different.

There were 4 with 5th edition - A SM and CSM Strike Force, a Necron Phalanx and the Tyranid Assault Brood.

You can sort of see what it consisted of.

3 Carnifexes, 6 Warriors, 16 Genestealers, 16 Hormagaunts and 16 Termagants. Very good value. Got a Chaos force as well as all the FW bits to do an all FW Deathguard army as well.

I think a new "race" for 40k is unlikely. More likely is that "new army" equals updated/new release for an existing army such as Black Templars or Chaos Marines (Renegades?).

Yeah, I would really hope that they wouldn't be naive enough to label 6th edition 'PoS'...

For the re-organisational part of the chart, I would be more inclined to think that it's referring to having a section for each army, a section for the new rules, and a section for whatever that latest release army is, rather than being a specific hint of a 'new' army added to the game.

I think those box sets were part of the Apocalypse release. They didn't have anything to do with the release of 5th Edition, unless they re-released those boxes with 5th Edition.

Nope. Those 4 specifically were released with 5th edition. I know this as I went to the midnight release and we literally had to jury rig a bag big enough to carry my advance orders home. As I was carrying 2 rather large boxes, the box, some templates, a few other things and my army.

They released a number of other things with Apocalypse but these 4 specific boxes were 5th edition releases.

Then we can hope for some more releases along these lines for 6th!

Is the rumor still Dark Angels vs. Chaos Space Marines in the starter box?

If so I do think that Project Prisoner could easily be a good piece of evidence towards that rumor.

I personally don't think that it would be anything to do with the Lion or a "the Emperor is a prisoner on the throne" aspect.

My guess would be that the theme of the starter box will be that the Dark Angels have located a fallen and are trying to take him as a prisoner so that the chaplain can have his way with him. Or have already captured him and the CSM are trying to free the prisoner.

It is because the protagonist of the 60's TV show, "The Prisoner" played by the late Pactrick Mcgoohan, was given a number. He was Number 6. (I am not a number)

This will be the 6th Edition of 40K

See what they did there?

See. That's the type of obscure creativity GW is good at doing. Take something from somewhere else, but twist it around enough so it ends up being different. So much better than Draigo.

Only because you don't understand how the ELA works. The parts that show up differently on that document are precisely the parts that should show up differently.

It is worth noting that edges and areas red in colour are often depicted as brighter in the ELA tests. This due to the way the photos are saved by various programs. It is not proof that image was manipulated.

All areas with text in them are at the same higher brightness level, which is exactly what you would expect from plain black text on a white background, saved as a .jpg.

Besides, what kind of idiot needs to photoshop a table on a piece of paper? If they wanted to fake it, it would be both easier and more effective to just forge the orignal document and then scan it themselves.

Notice how the bottom part is "none PoS". Dont that indicate its not "Prisoner of Skullhaven" or whatever, but rather "point of sale" ?

anyway, who makes a printed page of brainstorming and lose ideas in this way when you work for a company hung up on secresy and deciet?

In taking with the running "PoS means..." idea, what if it is short for "Peoples of Steel" and the upcoming set is comprised of Necrons and a new Adeptus Mechanicus themed army?
Certain the idea may be easily dismissible at first, but consider; the Mechanicus has long been thought to be a dupe of the Necrons and has also been the subject of a considerable (forgive the use of that word) number of custom armies. To create such an army would be possible by using all existing model kits for the Imperium simply by adding a few press molded "Mechanicus" customization sprues, similar to the "command sprues" from the Apocalypse (?) line; minus troops of course (tho in theory you could use Imperial guard as foot troops).
This would also set the stage fluff-wise for 7th Edition and the return of the Emperor. Imagine the Necrons rise (something their own new fluff seems to be hinting at) and that yes, the Mechanicus HAS been keeping the Emperor out of the way and have been at least in part Necron patsies. Now, the Necrons are on the rise, and the Mechanicus becomes split between their servents, and those still loyal to the Imperium; so yet another army faction that can not only be fielded against any other army, but against itself as well (another theme GW seems to have embraced as of late).
By no means am I saying this is what they are doing and have absolutely no proof of any kind to present in support of it. lol I'm just tossing out a wild speculation.

So... PoS = Point of Sales, the numbers are the dates, and it looks interesting.

I wonder what "New 40k, new army" really means. I'll go ahead and assume that it means we're getting a new army for 6th ed.

Cut and Paste Facebook statements? UH?

So it seems all GW does is just cut and paste. That is what alot of 5th edition seems to be. Cut and Paste.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

...furthermore, the top box of the schedule is labeled "project prisoner PoS brainstorming" but the stuff in it has nothing to do with the actual 40k game, its about playingcards, books etc (exept for som staff rules seminar or something).

then, the bottom box is labeled a modest "other ideas (none PoS)" and here they bring up the clues for new edition release and new army etc.

The question is if the bottom box (the interresting one) is even a part of "project prisoner".

In any case we have a "go loud!" period to look forward to.

It means that new edition of 40K is a good time to start a new army. They used the same phrase when 5th ed came out and when 8th ed fantasy came out.
There may well end up being a new race for 40K, but this does not reference it.
