What? I never mentioned Brightsword. I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. If I have done what you accuse me of, show me where I did it.

@Space Crusader: It's a capital offense in the Imperial Guard for a commander to unnecessarily waste the lives of his men, especially at regimental level.
@everyone. I wonder if it's possible for a Tau to commit a crime, theft, assault, murder, that type of thing or does the pheromones overcome such urges, any ideas?

Well for one thing the pheromones is speculation on the part of an imperial observer. There is a fairly likely possibility that one-ness of community is simply how the tau mind operates, and it is just too fundamentally alien for humans to empathize with.
Anyways though, I doubt there is crime. The Tau Empire seems like the kind of place where they'd keep everyone busy, too busy for crime. Plus, with their inherent fear of the Mont'au, I doubt any tau would do anything to harm another, nor anything to slight another, as it is an impediment to the greater good.
Plus, a huge portion of crime is performed by the desperate and unemployed, which would likely not exist in the Tau Empire.

There isn't enough Tau Fluff at this point to go into that kind of detail.

Sp you were just speculating, okay thats alright. Just some friendly advice: keep facts and specualtion separate from each other or say which is fact and which is speculation.

Who wants to know what the "rid of the hateful reak" passage is?
It reads like this and is about Aun'va (the etheral guy)
"His presence gave the Fire caste the will to rid the Si'coa system of the hateful reek, his words sending them into a righteous rage. Upon the flanks of Mount Scion he pronounced the fate of the Orks of Waaagh! Grognik - a sentence that was efficiently enacted by ten thousand Fire Warriors."
Quite a nice passage. I gathered that the hateful reek being refered to was orks, and everyone can agree that they probably are a bit wiffy.

Just some friendly advice if you ever plan on going to other forums; Whenever you quote something or post a passage, post a source along with it like this:
Deathwatch rpg: Rites of Battle pg 138 wrote:TECHXORCISM GUN
Brutally effective against highly technological xenos races like
the Tau, these weapons are unique among other Deathwatch
weapons in their ability to directly attack machine-spirits.
Known colloquially as techxorcism guns, they fi re crackling,
bright blue bolts of energy that not only damage a machine’s
body but can harm or even drive out its machine-spirit. These
weapons can even stun living creatures if they hit exposed
fl esh, and all techxorcism weapons have the Shocking quality.
Whenever a player causes critical damage to a target with a
techxorcism gun, roll on Table 5–4: Haywire Field Effects on
page 143 of the DEATHWATCH Rulebook.
It is unknown, even among the learned enginseers of the
Deathwatch, whether these weapons are archeotech or of xenos
origin. Whatever their provenance, they have proven to be a
valuable anti-xenos tool, and are requisitioned by or assigned
to kill-teams facing known technological threats. Techxorcism
weapons affect the machine-spirits of nearly all known xenos
races with one exception. Technology fi elded by orks can be
physically damaged by these weapons, but their machine-spirits
seem to be immune to the special properties of the EP weapons.
Research done by Deathwatch Techmarines has so far turned
up no explanation for this phenomenon.
or just say where the passage came from like this: From Codex 3rd edition Tau empire pg 122.
Anyway, so the Tau call the Orks 'Reek'? Thats just insulting and gives me a reason to kill all Tau now for that insult !

Nope sorry the "Hateful Reek" and Orks are two seperate entries, hence the Period, basically it is he inspired them to rid the Si'coa system, and in a seperate incident he pronounced the fate of the orks from the flanks of mount Scion, two seperate events, the reek are some here to unkonwn race, otherwise they would just say Orks.

In the Land of Ward'or, in the Fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Matthew wrote in secret, a Master Codex, to rule all the others. One by one, all the armies of the other Codices fell to the power of the Codex, and from this Darkness, none could see hope.
But there were some, who resisted. a Last Alliance of Men and Xenos took up arms against the forces of Ward'or and on the Slopes of Mount Doom they fought for the freedom of 40k." |
