THat's definitely a good point about psychic defense, and it also differentiates a model in the unit. The thing is if you don't stop Jaws they can snipe that one model out of each unit to prevent further psychic defense.

If I do end up starting my Necron list I will likely be buying 9 of the new Spyder kits, but I think I've decided to forgo buying any more 40k models for armies I don't already play until after 6th edition is released. I don't want to buy a bunch of Necrons only to find out that since the book was written for 6th ed, the stuff I just bought is now crap and the stuff I didn't buy is awesome.

I just hope they are not treated like the new talos engines ... 44.50 for 1 would HURT. Good thing I work at the local game store on saturdays.

Yeah that would be ridiculous, but battlefield allowance dictates price as much as what's in the kit. For instance, a Talos is priced like a Dreadnought/Wraithlord because that's effectively what they are. They are MC's rather than vehicles but they fill a similar role and are taken in similar numbers. Spyders on the other hand are purchased in units of 1-3 which makes them more like Destroyers or Jetbikes. Barring an extremely detailed finecast kit, I imagine they will be priced at $20-$25 much like Destroyers. They might even come in boxes of 3 for $60-$70 which would be right on par with things like Bloodcrushers.

Then again this is GW were talking about here. If they can charge you $45 per model, they will do it, and they know you will buy it.

Or I'll ebay it for cheaper or wait for a independent store to have a sale and buy them for 25% off

The word on the street is that the new kit will be either Spiders or Wraiths, and it will be three to a box, like Killa Kans.

Yeah, one benefit of owning a store and a full line paint service, is that we get to play with other people's toys all the time!

That means we can experiment with units others may not ever try to do money constraints, etc.

He does indeed play me, and he smashed me! I had no answer to the Scarabs other than Kharne, and rolling double 1's on the first move to immobilize him ruined me! Haha.

Keep up the great work with the paint jobs, conversions, and especially the Battle Reports! I'm glad you've taken a liking to the 'Crons and I hope you guys put up a TON more videos of them beating the snot out of Tier-1 lists. Keep the updates and videos coming!

Reecius is the GREAT Grey Bush hahaha. We played in a 1500pt tourney. With a less optimized necron list. ( I was trying to use less proxies) Again, I've been the scarab farm player for the majority of battle reports. Reecius has been having his fun with them as of recently.

What's your list for 1500?

We have not tried it at 1500, to be honest. It would be significantly different though. Drop the wraiths, and probably Zandrekh.

I am still waiting to see you play test the Tomb Stalker Reece I am not sure but I think this could sync up nicely with a HoD shooty court.
