All I'm saying is that drawing conclusions based on this battle is likely to give you the wrong idea. Search for Jankthin (iirc) fighting jy2. It wasn't a board wipe.

You mean these battles?

2000pts Competitive Grey Knights vs. Janthkin's Tyranids (My very first battle with my early Crowe-Purifiers against Janthkin's nids)

2500pts 'Ard Boyz Practice Match - Grey Knights vs Tyranids (I'm actually the nid player here).

2500 Jy2's Crowe-Purifiers vs Janthkin's Tyranids II - The Official Rematch

I suppose 1 loss trying out the army for the first time followed by a loss by tyranids and then a massacre for the grey knights helps support my data.

Just for the record, I was dominating in my match as tyranids versus triple-raven GK's (2nd link). Then at the 11th Hour, his dreadknight just goes berserk and wtfpwn my a$$ for the win. I'm calling that game an aberration.

Eh this past weekend tourney a guy running nids took 2nd and wtfpwn IG, GK Henchman and a dual dp lash.

So no I wouldnt think that one game means anything but poor exacution on one side.

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.

Well what I remember in the list was doom/drop pod, swarmlord with 2 tyrant guard, 2 trygon primes, 2 tervigons, 3 zoanthropes, 1 unit of hiveguard, and guants. I'd have to call will to get the specifics. We used adepticon rules. First round was the night fight scenario where he played the csm, second was the annihilation one where he played the henchman, and the final with the alpha objective was the ig. Typically he runs the trygons up the sides with a tervigon behind it giving it fnp while it poops out more gaunts. Swarmlord runs behind gaunts up the middle. Zoanthropes it kinda depends where he needs the shooting. The hive guard stay in cover to maximize their shooting. Then doom ds using his pod for cover to just be a pain in the arse. When he did a few practice games he tabled necrons, ba, and sw. The only loss the list has had was vs my draigowing and if hed had one more turn he would have won. He miscounted the kp and charged in 2 squads of guants(which died and gave me the win).

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.
