Army: SoB, GK, Eldar/Dark Eldar (combine the two...deep down, they want to be friends)

Race: Tyranids or Necrons

Tau oh theyve done that already nearly why do GW reject all eldar and young races like tau

I dont get the tau hate, but I was expecting it.

I also think Tyranids could go, aside from being an integral part of the Ultramarines fluff.

They'e just too grimdark. Basically, it seems like there's absolutely no way to stop the tyranids. No matter what the imperium does, they will lose. Just seems a bit overly dark, considering the imperium is already assaulted from all sides by threats external and domestic...

Yep. We have internal Civil Wars, native alien monsters and foreigners who also happen to be giant everything eating bugs! Sure to inspire little kiddies!

I like all the factions. I would like to see more (Admech, xenos...)
However, the thing I most enjoy about eldars is the possibility of destroying them (reason: they are elves). So my vote is for them.

Why cant GW produce a Codex in 3-4 months? I dont know... Dakkadakka can make a workable fandex that people love in about 3 days!

Im all for introducing MORE Races into the 40k world... as long as they get frequent updates etc and not being left to rot.

Not only does it take a long time, but the editing and review is quite bad. The number of errors, obvious play testing mistakes, and things that any competent player of that codex will figure out in two months is staggering. For a company that developes professional gaming books and rules and employs people to create these things, I am sadly dissapointed sometimes in the lack of understanding of units.. I could write a page worth of problems about the ork codex alone. I think GW must still use type casting printing presses to publish their books or something. There is literally no reason they shouldnt be able to put out a revision to every one of their codexes every 1 year. Its not like the codexes are these 20,000 page manuscripts written in cuneiiform on parchment. Its a fething 60 page pdf half of which is pictures.

I voted for all of them, but I think whichever codex is over powered this week should be the one deleted...

The setting would lose very little if the Tau and the Necrons both went the way of the Squats. Frankly, the only factions that are vital to the setting's themes are the Astartes, Guard and Chaos.

Don't have any numbers, but consider that Warseer, a forum dedicated to WHFB, has more 40k posts than it has WHFB posts:

Tau belong in some other boring sci fi universe which adheres to popular sci fi mise en scène like starcraft or mass effect. They don't fit. It's like some weird comic book crossover where aquaman turns up in hellblazer.

Tau is so boring. I hate their fluff and I hate the race. They should just disappear out of 40k. I hope they get eaten by the Nids like the Squats did.

I don't think tau need to be removed, just changed. They need the anime feel to them reduced and replaced with something a bit more unique.

If one race HAVE to be removed, I would remove one that kept the game as a whole the same.

Meaning that, in my mind, either Dark Eldar, Tau, Necrons or Tyranids can be removed without affecting the overall feel of the game.

I would not enjoy have any of those removed as I play all of them, but for the greater good (pun intended) those were the heads on the block for me.

So...you want to get rid all of the xenos then, save for 2 races.

If forced to choose one, that one would come from my short list, not all of them.

Yeah ok, that makes more sense.

Perhaps merge Dark Eldar and Craftworld Eldar somehow. That way there could still be Dark Eldar, but there would be one less army.
