I will Lt. Soundwave (thanks for the invite btw). They're on vacation with their grandparents at the moment... but when they get back I'll propose it to them. That would add another "Other" and a "Baddie" as I shifted from my eldest's Necrons to my own Orks.

I just got a pm pointing to this thread. I don't even know what this is about, someone I don't know pmed me. So, reading the first post, I still don't know what it's about. Seeing as you're asking people to spread the word, and people are apparently spreading it by randomly messaging others and linking to this thread, how about either explaining what's what, or linking to a thread that does.

Agreed. Really unhappy that I had to cancel out on the team tourney this weekend. I think it would have been most enjoyable.

Even though I've been playing 40k since RT, I've never taken part in one of these before (never been part of any gaming community... just always played out of friends basements and such). Should be interesting to see what happens.

@ Gits: I've asked Kommando to update the OP, I believe its on his todo list. I'm gonna work on a poster or two for the event as well, might help to have something shiny to see.

@ Johnno: Here is a brief summary.

this will be run ala the Eye of Terror Campaign:

So Players will give results of games played into the Organizers and we will do all sorts of arcane tricks to convert that into what happens.

Basicly you as the Armies, will fight over a Sub-Sector (Currently in the making) and each planet will have a control percentage, showing how much the sides of Order/Dis-Order control the planet and thus the system, and the Sub-Sector. Each Planet is Worth Victory points, and the side with the most wins.

And where does that leave the armies in Other catagory?? Well lets just say their results will variy. . . Tyranids?? Nom Nom Nom - goodbye planet

And there will be a narrative written each week, from the view point of the Imperial Side, that will tye up the results for that week, AS well as a massive one at the end.

AFAIK there shouldnt be any stipulation as to what units are allowed or what points total etc you play with. The general goal is to allow as many players to contribute as possible in the most convenient manner possible. Games against friends local hobby store matches etc would all be equally valid once the campaign started.

So let's make sure I got this right, because that wiki entry isn't actually that helpful.

Basically, by 'signing up' you're agreeing to post the results of all the combats your army gets into for the duration of the Campaign? And it's not only games you get in with other campaigners, but anyone?

So, for example, my Orks get into 3 or 4 fights during the duration. I post up the army lists, points costs, missions, and the outcome of the games here. Those are then pulled together with all the posts from everyone else participating (including, possibly, from the other half of some of my battles) and they are all tied together into a single overarching narrative?

and Kelt I dont think there should be any issue with that. Some folks could argue that it would be possible to skew results etc but frankly I do not think it will end up being a major concern.
