I really like that moritat. Where's the melta gunners backpack? For my 2 cents on the melta guy, you may want to try adding another metallic color or something onto the weapons. They look unfinished, at least at this angle.

Hey guys, small update today. I felt the need to make another HQ for my NL, so I made another Moritat!



I'm tempted to grab another Riptide next week, but I'll probably be posting a lot of NL stuff in the near future!

What is a "Moritat"? 40k wiki didn't help. Is that the 1st or 2nd book?

Its in the 1st book. It's basically a 'lone wolf' character. He has a rule called Chain Fire where he gets another shot for each hit. Double plasma pistols and BS5 make this guy a very dangerous fellow

Wont he wound himself out at some point? If the only way to miss is a 1, and he keeps getting shots, hes going to take 2 gets hot eventually (I mean, armor save and stuff not withstanding).

Yeah, it is pretty risky. Artificer armor helps keeps the wounds away though

Ok, I grabbed a Riptide over the weekend! I wanted to convert it a bit, but I still wanted to keep the overall 'structure'. The only viable option was to do a slight re-pose!



I have him holding the HBC like that so it looks a bit heavier.... I did it mostly to look cool, though

I probably won't update till this coming weekend, so I'll leave you guys with this shot:

I love the flames, I hate the weathering Not because it isn't well done or anything, mind you, I just don't like weathered models.

I really like how you did the flames, very stylish.

Thanks for the input, TDL! I wasn't too sure about about the weathering when I started, but it really grew on me My NL will definitely be a lot less weathered!

Speaking of NL, here is my new Legion Praetor. I just have him zenithal primed at the moment, but I'm hoping to throw some paint on it soon.

Yep! I got him from a friend a little while ago. I removed most of the Imperial iconography so he could look a bit more 'Pre-Heresy' and Chaosy.

Where did you find all your "wingy" bits ?

I'm currently reading Tome 3 of the excellent (like, almost better than the HH series) Night Lords trilogy by Aaron Dembski-Bowden, and Night Lords are just filling my mind ATM !!
