Thanks for the tip dude, but as ive said before. im stubborn. lol. i will master the art of freehanding the stripes or die trying. its just the way i do things, yep i have hazard stripe ocp. please dont think me arrogant, i just cant help doing things the hard way.

I'm really digging on both your infantry and vehicle models, they look great. Nice conversion work and the paint jobs really match the chapter. I would love to meet this army on the tabletop with my Death Guard or Emperor's Children.

Lol. thanks. i know im a bit late answering your question about the vindicator, but better late than never hey.
its just the standard side armour piece that comes with the kit. i magnetised them so they can be removed to count as hull point markers, or transferred to another vehicle if neccessary

Almost forgot. I also got two of my "chosen" pretty much sorted now just some shading and touch ups left. ardaric vaanes is also getting there.
I'm off work next week so hopefully i can get most of my unpainted stuff sorted.

Well, my second squad is now ready for the table, and my chosen are slowly coming along.
Ardaric vaanes and my fw rhino are nearing completion too. If there's anything anyone would like to see closer up, or if anyone has any comments or suggestions please let me know

This image is pretty bad, but I show it for inspiration. It was the iron warriors books that encouraged me to build an iron warriors army.
it's a poor grainy pic, but, i think you'll see the general idea. I'm only showing these because I think you might benefit from the idea.

Cheers dude, huge respect to your skills. Sorry if the pics didn't show straight away, but I have to upload them one at a time for some reason.
As for my inspiration. Well that's something we have in common. Lol. Once I'd built honsou it just made perfect sense to build an army around him. If anyone has any suggestions for building slaaneshi blade dancers or loxatl, please let me know as I really do want to recreate the army from the books.

Finally got my "chosen" squad finished except for 3 of the bases. A lack of glue means they'll have to wait until I can pick up more on Sunday.( more important things to do tomorrow.)

I saw the imperial lighting unit that's been repurposed as a bomb or grenade of some type. To that all I have to say is the following:

I'm starting to wonder if i need to get a bigger bag and add another unit of iron warriors. It's a silly question given that I have a footsloggers iron warrior army.

moving on, i have a question, want previous edition metal CSM helmets? Technically they're "current" because the design fits right in, but some of the tusks, horns and other pointies make it hard for me to positively ID what kits they come from. I don't know that I can use them because I've got a lot of CSM as it is, and a lot of marines, and I really, really, don't want to buy more stuff for the iron warriors....

Oh and the object in my chosen champions hand is a melta bomb. It's from the vanguard veteran box.

Having pretty much finished my chosen, I have turned my attention to my raptors. 4 are nearly done and one is basecoated and shaded.
As usual, all comments and criticism greatly appreciated.

Managed to make some progress on my raptor and chosen squads. Even got them sealed in between rain showers.
Will post better pics later, once I can handle them.

Did some freehand on the back hatch of my rhino today. Before I put any more effort into it I'd like some opinions.
Do I keep/continue to work on the design, or do I paint over it and leave it blank/ add chevrons.

Sorry if I'm posting excessively tonight, but I really need help deciding the fate of my rhinos back end.(hmmm never thought I'd use that sentence. Lol.) done a bit more on the design, but I'm still unsure about it.
Also started work on a trophy to grace the front end

Slapped some paint on my converted warpsmith today. Despite him being a complete PITA to paint, I actually enjoyed the experience.
Still quite a bit to do on him, but at least I can field him while I wait for the parts I want.

I wanted to keep his armour dark like the pic, but I'm not happy with it. So I think I'm going to use the same colours as the rest of my iron warriors.
