And like I said Petre, it's not the comic that i think is the issue. It's the extreme mishandling (IMO) of the situation.

The line of "if you don't like it, don't read it" does not really apply to the actions beyond the comic, though.

After all, it isn't like it is one person on a board making upsetting posts. It is (whether they want to admit it or not) a leader of gaming doing it, and then marketing it and selling it to thousands of others. To use a bullying analogy, it's one thing to call you names and is more easy to deal with. It is quite another when the bully prints t-shirts and sells them with the things that hurt you.

I personally don't have a problem with the comic. But I also understand why people would be upset by it. If the situation ended there, it would all be well and good. But the PA response to it is where I say that PA got into the stupid category.

Its not funny to make fun of rape, but its funny to make fun of murder, genocide, torture, etc...apparently.

But they're not printing t-shirts that say "Haha, so-and-so got raped." I'd be first in line with pitch-forks and torches if that happened. They're responding to a demand for a product. It might be distasteful in some people's eyes. PA is art, of a fashion. A lot of art CAN be distasteful. It's the nature of art to be evocative of emotion.

There's a separation here that I don't think a lot of people are making. The PA guys are hurting LITERALLY no one. However, there are a lot of people that hurt because of what the PA guys did.

They took no action against people. People are taking a re-action to them.

I think part of the whole anger over rape and not as much as killing is that there are instances where killing is justified. We have capital punishment (whether or not you agree with it is irrelevant), self-defense killing, military killing the enemy and so on. All of those justify murder.

There's not such culture for rape. There's never an instance where rape can be justified. There's no such thing as someone saying "well thank goodness he is getting the rape penalty" ya know?
