Got an email through from wayland about this, they are doing 20% off RRP if you order before the 28th or something.
However its still £65 after the discount! And isn't due until Jan 2015 so will wait me thinks.

I wanted to point out the description page - mostly the same info as the article, but a little more detail on actions and some other things.
The one big negative I see is that each game is only six rounds long... I mean maybe it will make sense once we see the actual rules (e.g. 40k is six rounds and it works) but it still feels like it breaks immersion a lot.

But couldn't the GR-75 possibly still work like in X-Wing, as a kind of AWACS?

SO incredibly stoked for this. As much as I love x-wing, I think this is what I truly wanted over x-wing to begin with.
I would imagine wave 1 would contain some smaller ships for the imps, like tartan patrol cruiser and escort carrier, to give them a more well-rounded force. I think they'll save the bigger ISD for wave 2. As for wave 1 rebels, maybe the assault cruiser? I dunno. I do think we'll see Y-wing and tie bomber squadrons in wave 1 as well though

I hadn't thought of the transport as a 'shuttle' token but that would be a very good idea. However I will still expect to see it in model form as it is simply to iconic not too. For pete sake they went out of their way to make it a huge class ship for X-wing and lets be honest, it's not that great looking. I don't know.

The ships look really great in person. Getting a demo will be tough.
