Grey knights

Tad overpriced everywhere (dem paladins) when we're into bad case of spamhammer

Hard time to reach cc at times
Vulnerable to grav
No long solid long range support
Old dreads and can't access fw stuff
NDK so nice looking only mother could love it
Very low choice of models and unit kinds.
If not for the D cleansing flame or eventually NDK no1 would bother.

Inquisition codex so old it makes csm look new
Coteaz one of few resons to take em

Sisters codex written on rock slates
Price
No plastic
Small choice of units

You serious? Most things are underpriced especially the Dreadknight which is by far one of the most broken units in the game!

My plague marines don't tend to care but then again I tend to disembark into cover so between cover and FnP they are quite tough to shift even with plasma

Tyranids suffer from three main issues

1) The hamstringing of assault over progressive editions (particularly "ambush" style assaults from Infiltration etc)
2) The majority of Tyranid units, while thematic and clear in concept, are badly implemented and as such either need a massive reduction in cost or fine-tuning to be generally viable
3) Poorly thought out costing and rules for weapons and biomorphs (compare the Deathspitter and Devourer options for instance, or the kit available to the Tyrannofex)

I guess it should be amended to lack of useful options in the face of better armies.

The only stand out unit in the entire codex is our Mek Gunz which are RIDICULOUSLY expensive (Money wise not point wise)

I love them so much but I can't afford to buy 1 full battery of them let alone 2.

Yeah at $46 a piece your looking at $230 for a battery if you pay full retail price. Even with 20% off which most people mark off your looking at $184 for 5 models plus tax or shipping.

Lol mostly true. Interesting fact though: if a tac marine shoots a plasma gun at a renegade infantryman, the marine player is just as likely to lose as many points as the renegade player:

Cost of marine dying: 1/6 x 1/3 x 29(pts) = 1.666667
Cost of renegade dying: 2/3 x 5/6 x 3(pts) = 1.666667

If any cover is factored in at all or it is a Sternguard/Command squad member shooting, it actually becomes MORE beneficial for the Renegade player than the Marine player for that shot to be fired. So renegade infantry (and gretchin) like being shot at by models with 1 wound and plasma that cost 29+ points!

My faction has the same problem as many factions.. theres a few books out there that invalidate quite a bit of it when going straight competitive.

Besides this external issue my book has a few stinkers in it but otherwise it has a strong set of options that take some tinkering to make the most of and I have a pretty good track record with them overall. I personally like where its positioned as a niche army.

I also feel there's enough diversity and subtle strengths and choices to keep me occupied for quite awhile longer especially considering supplement material.

I'm speaking of dark eldar btw.

Space wolves suffer from not being C:SM and proper toyz before boyz syndrome, upgrades are expensive and the points cost for somethings are a tad high.

Lack of good formations outside of CoF, and they are situational at best.

Great army, I love them, just some flaws

And most top lists quit assaulting you, putting you in the BA boat with a crappy chapter tactic. I mean it's great against BA and Orks, but who cares?

Daemons are in a pretty decent spot, but they have quite a lot of dud units (the chariots, all khorne units that aren't hounds etc).

Also, their psychic powers stink. I'd like a reason to use daemon powers instead of the rulebook powers.

We could be here all night if people start listing everything that CSM is older than. Really they should combine the SOB, MT, and Inquisitors back into one codex again. As they are written now, it would be a pretty decent codex without any really OP stuff IMO.

Grey Knights:
Lack of range
Lack of choices
Some, not all, units are over cost
Rely to much on specific units
Stripped of half it's former self

Inquisition:
Copy past of previous self
Only one or two good choices
Not a stand alone army capable

Imperial Knights:
No one wants to play unless they list tailor first
When it dies, people gloat
When it lives, people complain
Overcosted (money wise)
New dex to soon

Militarum tempestus:
Over costed
To short of codex
Amazing fluff not represented on table top

Dark eldar:
Nerfed in more areas than buffed
Overcosted where it doesn't need it
Undercosted where it needs a nerf
Supplement is almost a must due to being better
