I think more the latter than the former, like 1970s clothing - more for laughs than anything else:

"Remember when we were so into Twilight?"

"I thought we agreed to never again bring that up."

Prime example is the steady decrease of hardcore Harry Potter fans. Two mediocre movies and JK Rowling feeling the urge to add content via tweets ('Wizards poop on the floor!") definitely don't help in that case. Give Twilight 10-20 years and it will basically cease to exist. Like...what happened to The Hunger Games? The last movie came out barely 4.5 years ago and I never see it mentioned anywhere. How does a series that makes 4 billion WW just vanish like that?

The only way we can ever solve anything is to look in the mirror and find no enemy

Thats like saying those teenage girls look back at Titanic with shame.

Nope.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

There has been a steady decrease in Harry Potter fans? It seems like it is growing with new movies coming out and the amusement park being a huge hit.

The Hunger Games never had the selling power of HP. It also wasnt very good as an expanded universe. It pretty much lived and died by the main story. Which has ended. So poof, its gone now.

Yeah, it's almost like they don't want this board to become Techpriestsupport's stream of consciousness blog. Isn't that the whole point of this sub-board?

What does everyone prefer: bipedal werewolves or quadrupedal werewolves?

I personally prefer bipedal werewolves with very wolf-like features, including tails. The Howling and Bad Moon have some of my favorite werewolves, but as far as I recall, Werewolf The Series had my absolute favorite werewolf design.

I'm not a big fan of "wolfman" werewolves, although the one from Monster Squad was pretty cool. The worst of them was Oz from Buffy in his Season 3 ape suit.

Being Human. George's story, as well as Nina's. Granted, it had a heavy Vampire bend as well, but the Werewolf parts were some of my favorite.

This applies to both mechs and werewolves: i greatly prefer digitigrade over plantigrade.

So far as actual locomotion, I don't think I like either pure bipedal or pure quadrupeds. Ideally I like werewolves that are strongly inclined to be quadrupeds, but can go bipedal for attacks; like bears do. I think Underworld nailed that pretty well.

To be honest black bears are a good analogy for what I like a proper werewolf to look and move like. It's not perfect, the head is obviously totally wrong, but about that size (but with a faster, lighter build) and style. The one from Cabin In The Woods was pretty spot on for my preferences, although it was more bipedal than I would like.

I don't think I feel strongly about tails, but I like them.

Sadly, I can do you one worse. Have you ever seen True Blood? The "werewolves" on that show were just big dogs. Not supernaturally big either! Just like, you know, husky sized. Somehow they were a huge danger to vampires despite appearing to present no unique danger to even the most barely competent dog catcher with that loop on a stick.

When I first read the title of the thread without reading the frist post, I thought that it is about the game werewolf. I can't say I am not disappointed after realising it is not about

And yet we had people talking on his threads, so obviously they weren't exactly unpopular.

Ah, well, we don't own the forum; if the mods don't want lots of discussion on similar but separate subjects who are we to argue?

The Users.

The Mods do not own the forum either. Their word can be questioned and it should given the very bad choices made regularly by them.

Maybe I'm moving in the wrong circles, but I literally hear nothing about Harry Potter outside of people laughing at JK Rowling's tacky tweets.

I think movies like Underworld will be remembered much the same way Hammer horror films are remembered, by a small group of enthusiasts. I think Twilight will likely be forgotten by the masses, but will likely be remembered by a similar group of enthusiasts. In 100 years, Twilight will be covered as a sidebar in History of Media textbooks, while Underworld will be shown at certain hipster film club events.

Shrug. She sold 500 million copies, which works out to about 2 copies per dollar the Underworld series made. People seem to remember Underworld just fine so I think she'll be alright.

And that's not even counting the spin-off series, of which one was in theaters up until like a week ago.

Selling a lot of kids books is like selling a lot of Captain Underpants books. Or RL Stine. It's not a big deal.

Loved Dog Soldiers, I've never caught the full film, but I've caught enough on TV that I've seen all of the movie.

I would definitely put "Fool Moon" from the Dresden files as my pick.

You should also write a book that sells a few hundred million copies and spends a decade on the NY Times bestseller list! Apparently it's pretty easy.

Still a better story than Twilight, so say nothing of the gakshow that the Ghostbusters thread has become.
