A welcome update. A flying turtle bristling with disintegrators should frighten any opposition.

Thank you both!

Personal Log of Inquisitor Selene - The Exodites at War - Entry 1
When the Exodites of the Gaian Worlds go to war at strength it is truly a wondrous sight to behold. Grav-tanks flit between gigantic war beasts, the decks and howdah's of both crowded with the warriors of the clans. Dragon Riders congregate on the flanks, sitting proud astride their predatory mounts. And above it all standards and pennants fly proud from dozens of banner poles, each proudly proclaiming the heraldry of world, clan or warband.

Tulivandrel's Bodyguard - Report by Magos Biologos Urthwart
On several occasions the Exodite warleader Tulivandrel has been seen accompanied by a serpentine bodyguard. This creature seems to be one of the Sslyth. How it ended up on the Gaian Worlds is unknown, however it should be noted that the employment of Sslyth as bodyguards is common amongst the Drukhari with whom Clan Zenil'tar are known to have dealings. It could be that the practice, and indeed the Sslyth itself, were imported from Commoragh.

Excellent theme for your Exodites! Cool to see that you've gone for a soup approach whereas my idea of an Exodite army would have been purely Craftworlds orientated.

Nice addition of fluff from magi and inquisitors too.

I like a cultural blend in Exodites, too. So many opportunities for variety. The Sslyth is a cool addition.

I'm glad you like the fluff!

The choice of lists was very much determined by the models I wanted to build. The Dragon Knights just had to be Shining Spears and once I hit upon the Leviadon to Ravager conversion I was locked into Drukhari as well. At which point adding the Ynnari elements made sense to apply a consistent trait to everyone and give me some characters who could buff both halves of the list.

So its been a little while but my Exodites are now getting some more reinforcement, in the form of some mobile fire support. There is actually very little conversion work on this as the War Walker already fits the fast moving, lightly armoured theme of my Exodites so I contented myself with a simple headswap on the pilot.

If it works, it works. Looks like it fits right in.

Great posing on the war walker - lovely sense of movement. Sometimes small changes make big differences and looks like you've managed to blend him in nicely to the army!

Well its been a while but I have been painting a few bits in the background. I've got a tournament coming up at the start of August and finishing off the last models for my list seemed like a good excuse to post an update!

First off one of the two Venoms I've added to the list, with the new codex they actually become a viable transport for a character and their bodyguard.

And the full 2000 point army:

Thanks Captain Brown!

Just a small update this time, a second War Walker to add a little bit more long range firepower.

Well the Exodites have definitely taken a back burner to my Fantasy and MESBG projects this year but in anticipation of the new Craftworlds codex I got three more models finished to round out the year. I'm now sitting on almost 3.5k of painted Exodites and hope to get them all on the table at once next year after the codex releases!

Ythran, Lord of Dragons - Autarch Skyrunner

Personal Log of Inquisitor Selene - The Dragon Knights
The Dragon Knights stand somewhat apart from the others of Clan Zenil'tar. They are a professional fraternity of warriors and eschew the other elements of Exodite life for endless training, a mix of duels, riding drills and hunting the most dangerous game the Gaian Worlds have to offer. As such, although they are utterly loyal to the clan's chief and will follow his orders without hesitation, the Dragon Knights and their current leader Ythran have great sway in the clan's councils, especially when it comes to matters of war.

Well the new Craftworlds codex has certainly seen an upheaval in my list building for the Exodites. It has also been the perfect excuse to finally get these folks painted.

Updates here are always a good time. Neat squad. The crossbows make for a cool pistol substitute.
