btw, I was searching through some bits last night, and found I had some Renegade Tank commanders from FW laying about, they are yours if you want them

I once upon a time did have a bunch of spare torsos and Nurgle heads for you for some IW Sternguard.

I'd have to hunt them down again as a lot of stuff got scattered when they decided to put new windows in my house

Thanks, I'm glad to hear you think so tbh... I get dubious about everything I do because I can't step back from it and see its positives. All I see is what is wrong with it lols.

And considering I'm supposed to be an artist, I find this all amusing too lols...

it is ok to be selfdoubting up to a point...

but since we are all here for somehow to crosscheck our works i think it is a good way to see if we did well^^

you already mentioned that you make masks...but whatelse do you live a live as an artist?...beside...the frail soul of an artist is always unsure

Very true my good Sir Vik. I also do illustrations and occasionally paint... although it's been so long since I've picked up a paint brush and put it to canvas its rediculous.

Basically, I find art today is made to make money, there is no life and certainly no passion for it. IMO Art is to be made for others enjoyment, not to fill your pockets with. Art has become a consumerist mutant...

I'd rather be an artist who struggles to get by, and be remembered for the work I produce, than produce one picture that sells for millions and be forgotten tomorrow.

aye...totally with you on that... i never was the guy for big moeny in the first place but sell my soul for mere gold would be impossible for me...and was your mum the same opinion? the sterotypical mum always wants the son to be well off than happy...

She kind of agrees with me, but feels in this day and age it's just not possible to live out your ideals... which I thinks true to a point.

I found some GS last night and did the joints on the repositioned Heirodule arms

well...i thought with the aforementioned big other armies in your possession that you already have lots of paints...hmmm

Unfortunately none of the colours I own are what I need for the Nid's. Plus with the new paint range I'd rather buy the ones I have anew as to not have any discrepancy within the colours.

IE, A brown that used to be a red-brown is now a yellow-brown. the change of pigments between the new and old ones means I'll have to re-learn their palate again just to make this scheme I had in mind work.




P.s. I "aquired" the 5th ed Necron Codex... Might write up a 1k list to see what its like.

As I haven't posted anything in a few days I thought I may as well share some musings...

I'm considering as something a bit different and to do just as a conversion, a model to represent both a Lictor and a Broodlord. Based on, surprise surprise, Kerrigan from starcraft. (for those who don't know her see attached image)



I figure the Tyranid race could do with something that sews discord and dissent in their enemy, so something that is like Kerrigan would fill that role.


Thoughts?

Love the idea of having a Kerrigan character at the head of your army as a figure head for sowing discord and dissent in the enemy. Personnally, I'd see that conversion more fitting the role of Warrior Prime than a mere Lictor or Broodlord, because then, both rules and fluff wise, she really would serve as an inspiration for your army thanks to her ability to boost the squad she'd be attached to.

Her only weakness is Jim Raynor! ..Speaking of Sarcraft, have you seen what Flinty is doing with his Terran conversions?

i think a bit of putting a sort of traitor aspect into the mix of bugs is overdue... she could be the leader of the genestealers? how about that? and she would be perfect as a broodlord...!!! good idea!

thanks for the imput Dark_Gear the Kerrigan idea is more for making something for a showpiece rather than something usable. I just wanted something noticably different for the moddle of the army tbh ^_^
