Cool. Thanks for the info. Tiles sound thicker than I expected. I ordered 2 sets as well.

So pissed off that I missed this one. I'll be watching to see if it's worth picking up from a regular retailer without the extras.

I do like how the Character cards are double sided with a blank on the other side. Convenient if you dont want to print out a custom character

Cards are imo a tad small, but then again it is a deck of over 100 or so cards. Having larger cards would clutter everything

Ooh yes tiles are nice and sturdy

More sturdier than my Monopoly board I reckon

I busted out the ruler and the tiles are a full 2mm thick, so it's beefy. The edges are very sharply cut so I imagine that with regular game play they may fray slightly, although I bought my copy to be played so that's ok. All my board games have some minor wear after a while. If you are particuarly humid regions the board may swell or bow slightly over time. (I've heard some of the space hulk boards did that but I haven't personally expereinced that with any of my board games)

The printing is a semi gloss, from certain angles there may be some glare but it's not much. The grid texturing helps break it up as well. Simular in feel to canvas material for painting. With a up close view some of the details seem a bit faint/faded but when you place the board at tables distance it's not noticable and I think that if they were outlined heavier it'd probably be a bit distracting. Overall I'd rate the detail level as being excellent with a good color balance that doesn't draw you away from the game pieces.

I think they did a bang up job on the printing, the board is top notch.

The extra set of tiles comes with a paper slip cover that has some graphics on it, the set also includes another copy of the vehicle and token punch card (so you''ll have two total) .

I can't comment much on the rules as I haven't read through them just yet, but very pleased with the quality of the components and the packaging was excellent.

Weird question, but do any of the Search cards have some variant of "Can no longer search this zone" text? I just can't find anything in the rules to stop players from holing up in a single zone building and constantly Searching every turn until they have the cards they want.

Such a shame too. You would have really liked it.

There are no "can no longer search" cards, but there are cards that spawn a zombie in the room.

This will not be a problem anyway, as the rules limit each character to 1 search action per turn. Some characters have or can get a free search actions, and a flashlight allows you to pick up 2 cards per search action, but most characters can only conduct one search action per turn.

Nope, still limited to one search action per character per turn. But with a free search you dont use up any actions

Mine is due for delivery tomorrow. I am equally excited to play the game as I am to use the miniatures to field a huge shambling mass of plague zombies for my Chaos forces...

I will be painting my set too, I assume most dakka people will as well.

Got mine in and unboxed it at lunch today - very nice!

Now I have to go back the Kickstarter page so I can remember what is still coming in terms of characters/extras!

EDIT!

Turns out I'm still owed a total of 17 additional models - 7 more new characters, and then Zombie versions of all.

It will be a nice surprise come Q2 2013!

How is the scale of the miniatures? Are they able to be used in 40k as cultists or zombies?

They are very similar to, if not completely, True Scaled

So same height as warhammer, just thinner

Got mine today as well and damn did I buy a lot of zombies! Now I am left wondering if buying the extra set was a good idea or not.

For anyone who has played the game are two sets of zombies really necessary because I am thinking I may sell off my spare set.

The promo miniatures are too tall, I don't know about the others:

Haven't got mine yet but from some of the reviews I've read a few people have complained about running out of walker zombies on the larger scenarios once they reach the red experience zone even with all the extras as there are so many zombies spawning at that stage and once you run out of zombie miniatures the zombies get a free turn right away which can mean game over.
