A few (like 4 or 5) weeks ago while tapping a keg at I fell and hit my tailbone. It still hurts in the morning and bed time. Depending on the day it still can aswell. I take a few aspirin to stop but It It's still hurting. I can bearly bend over. How can I fix or cope with this.

Ouch, been there, done that.

Time is basically all you can really do for it long term but short term I find hot water bottles/heating pads help when sitting down.

If you have a jacuzzi, setting the jets to a low pulse to very gently massage helped me out some. Four or five weeks sounds like a pretty long time though (Dammit Jim, I'm not a doctor) so you might want to consult with your physician, maybe even just call them up and ask whether or not it's something that needs to be checked out.

Go to a doctor. It might be broken, and trust me, you don't want it to heal badly. My wife fell and broke her tail bone in middle school and it healed badly because her parents were pretty much negligent; to this day she cannot sit normally in chairs for very long at all without pain and has a lot of back pain from the way that she does sit.

Look, you started this thread for a reason. 5 or 6 weeks of pain seems like more than a bruise to me, and we are talking about the extremity of your spinal column rather than a pinky toe, so maybe decide whether you hate going to the doctor more than you hate possibly having this pain for foreseeable future.

I bruised mine snowboarding.
It took 18 months to heal properly.

Well played, sir. Well played, indeed.

But yeah, go to a doctor.

Ouch 18 months. That gotta hurt.
I do plan on seeing how I can see a doctor(Medical never got back to me) But I wanted to see if anyone had similiar experiances.
Maybe I should talk to my boss ad ask if I could stop doing so much heavy lifting.

See a doctor first. He'll probably suggest that you take it a bit easier in that kind of thing, anyway, then you can get a note to excuse you from that side of work. Boss can't argue with a doctor's note.

Somewhere in south-central England.

My wife did this a year ago. She slipped on the stairs, sat down very hard and most likely fractured her coccyx. (The little vestigial tailbone at the bottom of the spine.) We took her to the local hospital for a check-up. (Thanks NHS for free treatment!)

The problem with this is there is very little the doctors can do to help. They can't put your arse in a cast.

You just have to take painkillers, sit on a blow-up rubber ring, and bear it for the eight weeks or so it takes to heal naturally. Obviously you should also try to avoid the kind of activities that might put a strain on your bottom.

Hopefully you are well on in the healing process and should by now have noticed a reduction in the pain and swelling.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
