Looking good tipios! I like the legs alot! Pistons on the feet would look good, but I don't think they are entirely mandatory, it could all be internal, but go for it you feel you must!

Maybe when the new codex is released (Which won't be for a while...)

Don't know what rules anyone building one of these would plan on using as I don't know what the dreadknight rules are like, but if they suck, you could use the rules for the new Contemptor Dread recently released by FW, rules are currently 'experimental' so you can download them for free from the FW website.

Aha, that'd be a challenge for you indeed. I've tried, but it went just so-and-so.

@monkeyh - \the rules are anything in his range dies

@Limbo - I have a plan for a khorn dreadknight, could turn out something like that but I like the challenge, and when I get some of these dreads out the way, I could try it

@Saintspirit - Did you finish it?

Thanks, so is this - these are very inspirational, makes me want to make my own dread. But I have far too many other things to build and paint (sad as it may be).

The legs are really nice tipios, looking foward to seeing it painted. So thats two Iron Warrior dreads to finish painting now

I had a thought today for you. With all these bits that you must have stacking up after the Chaos dreads it would be interesting to see what Ork dreads you could come up with using all the left over parts.

@Saintspirit - I'm lucky that I'm not making an army, so I got time to do these.

@Giraffex - Another challenge a looted dread!!! yes, after I finish these dreads, although now you gave me the idea, I'm bound to start it before I finish anything else!!!

Just trying some different armour and leg stuff on the Dreadlord.

Feet look too big, so need to change them, but I want claws that look like that.

Any thoughts?

Truthfully, I don't like the reverse joint look.

It just doesn't seem to go with the rest of the model. It's an interesting idea, but the rest of the body just doesn't lend itself to complimenting the legs.

It looks too front heavy to me as well. My suggestion would be to try something different. Just my thoughts.

Thanks Mark, I want to do a khorn dreadlord, but using defiler parts. Would the legs go with that?

I think that would work for the Khorn one, but If I might make a suggestion, make it like a dogs hind leg with the double joints.

Would make it look like it has more powerful legs, let it stand higher by default, and also just look like an OP BA. (overpowered BAD@$$ for the lei man).

Truly like the idea and the direction of the lord overall btw.

hehe here's something for you to think about. An upright defiler doesn't have to have only two legs look at the tyranid models, you could have multiple legs but have the model standing up on its back legs.

Sort of a come and get me if you think your hard enough pose.
