Looking good tip!

Bit of paint on that guy and he'll be ready for the table!

Man I still can't get my head round you not playing. It's almost a crime for you to make models to that level of awesomeness and not unleash them upon some unsuspecting chump!

meh...chicken legs just don't work well on that one. Plantigrade or Digitgrrade would look better.

Amazing work! you certainly have one vibrant imagination to produce such amazing models! not to mention the technical mindset to 'see' what you need to and want to do for each one! love checking back in to see what you've been up to lately!

Keep it up please!

A less overhead picture would be nice to get a overall good view of the model.

I like the idea, alot as it looks right now I would think that the birdclaw feet are a little oversived/out of place for the rest of the model.

What if you elongate the "toes" from the original dreadnought foot? Am I making sense??

@mikZor - Thanks, I also likr the idea of the reverse knees. It does look more sinsiter

@graven - I always liked ED209, they should have done a film of just him killing everything

@FantasyBob - don't worry he will still look like the old model, this is just a test I'm doing because I had these legs spare, and want to use them to make a Dreadlord without using the dreadknight kit.

@kepora - is chicken not digitigrade

@rogue wolves - all these new words I'm learning today yes I believe I will be going down that route when I get to it.

@nerdfest - Thanks alot mate

@1-i - Thanks, yeah the feet are way too big!!

@dakka_dok - I think the dreadnought feet are too small, but I will have a look, thanks for the idea

Thanks for the response everyone

Sorry Tipios, I'm not digging the Bird Legs for the Dread Lord. I argee with others, they need to be bulkier. I don't have alternate ideas, I just don't know what would look good on that besides what it came with...unless maybe if you put 2 sets of the defiler legs together and straightend them out a bit so they don't look so chicken-leggy? It's a bit more work to hack them up and repossition them, but when have we converters ever done the "easy" thing?

Second that, hope you don't mind if I pinch your idea (if I ever get round to making one amongst all the other stuff I'm half way through!)

What about going the direction instead of clawed feet, but cloven feet?
I do agree, the legs need to be beefier!

@RSjake - I'm saving up to get a defiler, so I will have more bits to play with early days yet, may be the montrous claw bits would look better as they are much bulkier.

@monkeyh - Use any ideas you like

@zeke169 - Colven feet sounds good, much more chaosy

This had me thinking.. How about a third piston behind the two exsisting pistons? With a ball join underneath and a bigger size dreadnought foot. Like a titan' foot.

I know, I'm saying that chicken legs don't look right on it. Plantigrade (human-like) or digitgrade (like a dog or cat's back legs) would be better

I think what others are saying about "dog legs" could work. But again, would take a bit of modification, something like this:

Now we're getting into titan territory! Yeah tipios - I challange you to make a warlord titan out of an old star wars AT-AT! If it is anything like as good as your dreads we're all in for a treat!

@Dakka-dok - More pistons sounds good. For the foot I want to try three toes at the front, like forge world chaos dreads.

@Rawson - Thanks alot I've got loads of ideas, so gons keep going for a while

@Kepora - I know, sorry I was being silly I think dog legs is gona be the way to go.

@rsjake - great mock up pic again yeah this is the way to, but I'm gona have him standing much higher.

@graven - I think thats the way it's going mega defiler!!

@monkeyh - If only my dad didn't sell all my star wars stuff in a car boot sale, many many years ago, I would have had one of those and it would of had walking action too. Ha you could stomp on everbody's mini's with a press of a button

Went a bit made with the knife today.

Changed the head section.

Started cutting up legs, just need to figure out how I want to fit the top section.

That head would look a lot better if there was a 'helmet' or something inside of the head you have now. That way it would look like a head adornment or a trophy, instead of an akward dreadnought/daemon thing.
