For $50 you'd almost be better off springing the extra $20 and buying somehting that isn't already someone elses mess.

I can barely scratch build a mound of dirt. RSJ could pull this off though. However, I think sometimes the time / money trade is a valid one.

No Dave, I don't really need it, it's a luxury item. But if you are serious, I'd love it, but put it way down on your list.

Skalk, yeah, it would be amazing to have a Dave Custom Built Landraider, but I'll most likely just foot slog my Zerkers into battle. It was the way I planned at first anyway, before I started collecting the Mk I Rhinos.

Oh yeah, with silly knobby tracks! I don't know why, but I always liked that! But those didn't have a front ramp, it would have to have a front ramp.

scratchbuilt a LR... it is not that hard mate! really even i had made an attempt... if ye need a hand with some plans...

It might not be that hard. I just don't have the time. Or space on my work desk to be honest. That is why I concentrate on the minis.

But if Dave wants to make one, I will make it worth his while!

If he wants to make it steampunky, I wouldn't argue!

I haven't used them yet..I still need to remake the Nuka Cola machine too! busybusybusy!

Machinator makes those "old school" treads in resin. Would take 2 sets for a LR, $16, but man they are so awesome and since he's a Dakka caster I try to send business his way.

Those are cool Skalk, but none of them look like the nobby old-skool LR treads.

I got some cool stuff over the weekend, namely, 4 small motorcycle toys that I think I can convert into Nurgle Bikers!!



I also ordered a Forge World Mk II Jump Pack on ebay, and it arrived while I was gone!


Not sure what I will do with the torso, but I'll figure something out. But I want to use the jump pack for Nurgle and maybe Khorne Raptor Squads! I only got the one, just to get a feel for what it will look like, so now I need to order more. Lots more. I hope I can find enough.

And my Berzerkers are coming along: I have enough for 4 squads of 8, I am just missing some heads, so I have to order some.


I am trying to give the berzerkers more dynamic poses than the ones you get right out of the box, so it's taking a while to get them together. There will be some gap filling and sculpting, but I think they will look much better for the effort.

Each squad will all have the same helmet. There are 4 helmet styles, so this is working out pretty well so far. I am planning on a 5th helmet type though. Combining a possessed helmet with the bunny ears of a zerker. The prototype looks good, but making 7 more might get spendy, so we'll see if that works out. Oh, and hopefully, if I can get some more, all of the Berzerkers will have chain axes instead of chain swords. I just like the look better. Unless of course, when the new codex comes out, axes and swords might be different weapons, and could effect wound allocation....I'll have to think about that.

I'll also need more Zerker heads for my Raptor squad, so I may just order a couple of sprues of bits from Hoard-o-Bits.

How many more of what style head do you need? I haven't shipped your package yet.

it will be interesting to see a SM bijer body on those bikes... often enough the scale looks fitting at first but then you see again why GW is tailoring for their own stuff always... almost non mixable...

and 4 squads of 8? that is quite a lot of work and then once finished a force to be reckoned with...

and.... seriously....? you want to buy them? i think you have an evil lab that would offer other options

Vik, there will be much modification to the bikes. the back end behind the gas tank will almost all be gone to make way for a huge tire. The seat will be made of GS. The front forks will be remade. I may use the existing front tire, as it will look like a chopper. But it might be too small, I'll mock it up and let you guys see if it will work or not. If the existing tire is too small, I have a collection of GW bike tires I could use that will be smaller than the rear tire too. It will be cool, no matter what.

And as for the evil lab....let us not speak of such things.
