Very, very nice -in any game universe

The colour is great turned out looking amazing, the red and blue contrast nicely and the metallic breaks up the red quite well.

Quick question about your Zombicide stuff, I just got my box of it, and I am going to paint them up, but looking at some of the models, they have a sheen very similar to resin, I was wondering if you found this to be true? And if you had to was the models in soap and water like you would resin, before painting them?

Hi !

Yes, Zombicide models are made of soft plastic of some sort (it's quite a pain in the ass to remove the damn mold lines ) that is not as matte as GW's plastics for example.
I washed them in soap and water, but anyway I do it with every kind of miniatures, not only resin ones so I'm sure I won't have a problem. I sprayed them with GW's undercoats and I had no problem when painting them.

Pfft! Flaws!? As if!

Yes, there ARE flaws.
If you can't see them, or you see them but they don't bother you, then I did my job.


I am currently working on transports. I have three old (3rd Ed.) raiders to paint for the tournament, so I have tried to convert them a bit (Gork I suck at converting anything, I'm so much more comfortable with painting ! ) because they looked too similar for me.

They are almost ready for undercoat !

That's funny, I'd guess that most experienced hobbyists find converting easier as generally it's less exacting than painting.

Trust me Gits, I feel much more comfortable with a brush in my hand than with an X-acto and glue of some sort.
I don't know why, but all the assembly process is not really enjoyable to me. It's a necessary step before the most interesting part : splashing colors everywhere.


But the raiders are built and sprayed. Hopefully I'll have some time this evening or tomorrow to start the painting.

If I've learnt anything about hobbyists it's that we're a mixed bunch! I often find painting tiresome but I will convert and scratchbuild until I'm blue in the face. Some of us would happily forego the miniatures entirely to just play the games with tokens. 'It takes all sorts' as my Gran used to say.

I suck at converting, but I still try to do little modifications on some of my models.
Please welcome my 2 talos, still in WIP. Both were in the same posture, so I modified the one on the left to have him stand up.
Ragarding the painting, the red and the skin are almost finished.

Well... to be honest, I have no idea if I'll add some blue, because I don't know where I should paint it.
Of course there will be scaly green to do light effects on wires, gems and so on. But the blue... don't know.

If you have ideas, do not hesitate and tell me.

Stunning work, mate! I don't think they need the blue carried over. The greenish details tie them in and the lack of blue helps them to stand out from the rest.

Okay, thanks for your feedback Casey. I'll keep them so, then. I am just doing two tails for them 'cause the shooting weapons are missing, and it should be a problem regarding wysiwyg, so... ^_^

And I have started painting the grotesques (is that the english name too ) and also a handfull of warriors.

I've been using a Nefarious clone for my Talos, but he's quite top-heavy so I had been thinking about using these instead. They look amazing.

I'm back from hollidays so the painting process has started again. Expect pictures soon.

Hi folks !

I am still working on my grotesques (I promise pictures very soon).
But I have 2 news. Well, 3 in fact :
1) Last sunday I attented a 2 Vs 2 tournament with a very good friend. He played Iron Warriors and I played Orks. We had a great day, people made kind comments on our armies. And we confirmed that we are definitely better at painting than at playing... We ended 22nd on 24 !

2) I entered Gothicomp for the 3rd time. Gothicomp is an online BFG (and spaceships games) painting contest. And my escorts won the final in their category !
I'm really happy.

3) After I finish my first batch of Dark Eldars, I plan to paint a single mini for Nerdfest's contest !
