I... actually don't know. Help?

If you're like me, you easily get bored while painting. I've recvently been bringing me iPad to the painting room just to watch some YouTubes, and it really helps m,e concentrate. If you already don't, I recommend you to start.
Now, back on topic, what sort of things do you watch while painting? I usually watch some Vsauce or Miniwargaming (Science and 40K!).

Podcasts, epic length music youtube videos, and movies/TV shows I've seen so many times I don't need to watch to enjoy.

I don't watch anything. If I'm watching something, I'm not painting. I usually paint at the gaming table during D&D nights, but if I'm painting at home I'll put some music on in the background.

I watch TV/DVDs when I'm assembling models, though. Just not when I'm painting them. Painting requires too much attention.

I usually play one of my favorite movies that I have seen a hundred times like Alien, Predator, Aliens, The Thing, or a similar movie. I have seen them so many times that I can just listen and glance up every now and then and know what is going on.

I get more done with music than videos, but stuff like the Avengers movie or Wrath of Khan I can glance up at it every now and then.

I've recently taken to watching The Wire again, now that its re-released in HD. Seen it enough that I don't really have to watch it, unless its one of my favorite scenes, otherwise its just noise.

Music mostly. The occasional Audio book. I don't have a computer near where I paint, (I paint upstairs, we only have a pair of desktops downstairs)

If I DID have a PC at my paint station I' be watching Naruto Dubbed or something I don't need to look at often.

I am so stupid...
How come I have never thought of this before? I always get bored and distracted after a while of painting. Watching a movie while painting could really help with that! Maybe now I can finally get more than 1 mini a week finished.

What do I watch?

The model I'm painting.

Anything else would be a distraction.

But If I am focussed on painting the model, I won't even HEAR anything so even music becomes irrelevant.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Normally something that is a low-intensity watch! Test match cricket or golf perhaps, or at the moment the Australian Open tennis. Just a bit of noise in the background and I'll occasionally look up while shaking a paint pot, or if I hear a challenge or the sound of lots of applause.

Also dramas that I've started to watch but have lost some interest in, but need to finish watching to get to the end of the story!

No bat reps tho. They're either too long and boring, or too short with no explanation so you havd no idea what's going on unless wstching.

Was considering listening to some 40k audio books. But dunno, concentrating on fictional books is an effort, strange i know.

Under the couch

I used to go with just putting on music, or movies that I knew particularly well.

Lately I've taken to putting on movies with the Director's (or whoever's) Commentary turned on. Takes away the need to pay much attention to the screen, and has given some quite cool insights into some of my favourite movies and the people behind them.'

The commentary on the new Star Trek was brilliant. On the other hand, turns out Michael Bay and Irving Kirchsner are kind of irritating...

Every blue moon, when I get out a few pots and brushes to spend several hours painting a single model to TT standard, I just have music on. I can't stand my own thoughts--especially when they're just endless streams of criticism and wanting to stop painting and do something I actually enjoy--and even the ticking of a clock pierces the silence to personally drive me insane. My hands are unsteady enough as they are, so since most of the TV shows and films I watch are comedies, they're wholly unsuitable. I'd rather not void the hour I spent getting something to look right enough to move on with laugh-induced shaking.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
