If I missed some armies just click other and vote in your comment.

Please tell me why I should choose the army you voted for.

Whatever army gets the most votes will be my next army.

Please do not vote for Tyranids, because I already have a Tyranid army.

If you want I will post updates of the chosen army.

Thanks

I would probably say Space Marines too be honest, as it' since to go completely different from a cheap-point army that are quite weak so you need to have lots of them, to a stronger, more expensive army that are really tough, but you can' teally afford (point wise) to get them into really big units. Hope this helps

I'd go with a space Marine army of some type. that'd give you a very solid base and you could then expand into Guard, Imperial Knights etc, for a fun IoM army

Well, with absolutely no guidance or any idea what the OP is looking for in a second army, I'm going to say... an unbound army made of just vostroyan conscripts.

Nothing says "wow" like spending $5 per square inch of infantry you put on the table.

I picked Dark Eldar. Partly because the models are macabre and beautiful. Partly because they have many options within the Codex for competitive armies, nothing too amazing mind, but not much that is sucky either.

You should play an elite army since you already play tyranids. Any army that can field few models, probably a shooting army since tyranids are mostly melee.

Ebay makes Sisters armies less painful. Only a fool would pay anywhere close to "retail".

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Have faith that the rebirth of the Ecclesiarchy is at hand. The Emperor will guide the powers that be in Nottingham to the path of righteousness. Like the Living Saint Celestine, our forces will rise from the ashes, stronger and more glorious than ever before! And the enemies of the Emperor will weep and despair as they flee from the righteous flames, but there will be no escape, no respite for the wicked.

That aside, I read every option on the poll somehow knowing that Sisters of Battle would not be on the list.

Sadly, my mental scan neglected to search it for Adepta Sororitas, so after I hit Submit, I'll go do that.

(edited to add) Nope, no Adepta Sororitas either... The OP remembered Militarum Tempestus, but neglected Adepta Sororitas... I am saddened.

I have over 2,000 points of Sisters of Battle models, and they're all either straight from Games Workshop or straight from the third-party company that made them. (I have some female minis from Reaper with swords, shields and plate armor that I use as Crusaders)

The main downside of collecting Sisters of Battle for me is the limited selection of units and dwindling selection of models. Converting's tough, since I fear most power tools and Sisters infantry are metal. Kitbashing is nearly impossible since they're monopose metals that come in three pieces if you include the base.

As a result, I ran out of models to get for my army that I didn't have and would actually use, which kinda killed my interest. Any models I get now would just be duplicates of ones I already have, and I have enough models to field pretty much any army I want. As a result, I'm no longer able to have a sense of progression when it comes to building my Sisters of Battle army - it's complete. After purchasing and building an Exorcist and a Battle Conclave in 2011, 4-5 years after getting back into 40k, I asked myself, "What's next?" and couldn't think of anything. I guess it also didn't help that the current gaming area is very uncomfortable for me for a variety of reasons.
