Whenever trying to join the server; sometimes the server is up, but this occurs sometimes, it started happening today.

That's an error with the minecraft.net servers, not the dakka ones. Not much we can do about that :-)

Precesely how big are we talking about here? 'cause for anything less than 64x64, just getting a couple people to help, with Iron picks, should be enough to get it done in a session. Other than that, sheer perseverence. Don't get distracted by anything other than food gathering- I'd suggest putting together a small wheat and/or melon farm nearby- just a few squares, let them grow naturally. Also cut down and plant some trees, you're gonna need a ton of chests.

Trust me on this. I'm practically a proffessional at digging large holes. Just check out the Mesa if you want proof. All done with a stone pick.

Mondo, there's been an incident at your mob farm, where a creeper has blown a hole in the outer casing(Prior to a defect in the exit/creeper spawned in cave beneath) me and Shrike are attempting to repair it. Shrike, while trying to obtain his items, has blown holes in other parts of the system, but we promise to supply materials/repair the mobfarm as soon as possible. We are very sorry about the damage caused.

I blame Shrike!

Nope, the mobfarm near the Sanc is mine. (I have done up the original quite a bit, added a second silo.)

I have automated it to automatically restart after most crashes and if the server hangs, to wait 15 minutes before forcing a restart. So you should only PM me about it if it is down for more than 15 minutes. However, there's nothing I can do when Minecraft.net's authentication servers are down (like last night), you just have to wait for the Mojang guys to fix it when that happens.

i thinking (marzipan309) of building a sky city and im open to ideas. Already started a kind of lobby bit but need more materials mostly wood. The tower can be found near my house at the sanc near to chompy158s house.

Dread, your Nether minecart system needs a station at the New dakka. That would be a good, make getting there allot easier.

I'm sure shrike can supply the rail.

Anyone that wants Cobble, just come by the Mesa, at -500x, -900z. Or the Frozen Lake side-path just past the Manor station on the route to the Temple of Chaos. Come in the front door, and turn to your right. Those chests are full of free materials.

I'd be happy to donate the iron for ordinary rails, but I can't provide powered rails. I kinda used all my gold and I've been blowing through redstone like nobody's business. Also, feel free to use my shortcut through the nether for the rail system.

However, my automated melon farm is coming along nicely. When it's full, it can produce several stacks of watermelon slices at the flip of a switch. Unfortunately, you'll have to walk around and gather all the slices yourself. I didn't design the system for water collection, unfortunately.

Basically a normal town, but kind of like domes for the buildings perhaps. Linked together by small tunnels to run a rail system.

Tower is gone, TNT is fun.

And then after we blew that up we all went round to the manor for a sweet party. Music and mushroom ale were in abundance. Thankfully no pictures exist of that particular event.

Who here's been trying prerelease 3 so far? I have and it's a lot of fun!

Tell you what wolf, leave it in the manor somewhere I can find it. I'll give the route some thought next time I'm on. It can't go in the diagonal tunnel very easily, as you can't do powered rails on a curve. I'll probably connect it up to the Eyrie station, as that's right next to the original path there.
