Head:


I know some aren't fond of the Farseer concept... But I did mold the head before I started on the current version, to alternate daemonic tentacle head is still an option.


Chains:


I plan on binding the praying hands together with modeling chain, the legs and two supporting hands will be chained as well. I think the shorter chain would be best. Mostly, because unless its glued to the model or some how made immobile it could rub of the paint during transport. Another option would be to have a broken chain. On the one hand, it would tie in with her resisting (like the claw marks), but on the other it might provide too much... hope? for her, and it might be taking away from the perfection that would be demanded of her by Slaanesh. I think it can work on several levels. Is she a resisting victim, a willing convert, or has her spirit already been crushed. I'm thinking intact chain as it does look better aesthetically.


Soul stones:


I want to have several smaller soul stones incorporated into the models throne-construct, and throughout the army: daemonettes clutching freshly plucked soul stones, etc. For the chest mounted stone on the grinder I imagine that the flesh has grown around it. It will be getting more detailing. As will the stone that I intend to place on the models forehead. I've also thought about having Eldar/Slanneshi runes either carved or branded into the Farseer's flesh. To further emphasize her torment, no ball gags though that would interfere with Slaanesh's enjoyment of her anguished screams after all.


Basing:


I've been pondering long and hard on how to do the basing, and now I think I've found the solution. Dragonforge, just came out with as whole line of Eldar-ish bases that to draw inspiration from. http://www.dragonforge.com/Painting%20service/for%20sale/base_sets/sci-fi/Lost%20Empires%20Series.htm

I would just buy these but one it be to easy, and two with so many models there'd be just to much duplication.



Painting:


I finally figured out how I want to paint these things. After looking at allot of Renaissance art especially the Angelic themes I've decided to go with a dark "Fallen Angels" color scheme. I'm thinking dark and atmospheric. For instance the winged models will have black feathers.

I'd go more for having her spirit broken, a millenia of entrapment by a daemon is likely to shatter anyone, and direct influence of a chaos god would amply that a hundred fold. She's been twisted and corrupted and degraded and utterly humiliated and knows that will continue for eternity. She may still struggle but it is likely more out of habit than hope. Knwing (or being told) that if she does manage to escape there is nothing she can do, nowhere to go. Not even dying will save her since She Who Thirsts has chosen to do more than merely feed on her soul. Attempting defiance and resistance when fighting those she does not wish to fight (likely eldar) and perhaps submitting and even taking joy at sharing her pain against those she hates (other chaos, necrons).

Well, my views anyway.

Are you going to put some hair/crest stuff behind the helmet, or keep it bare metal? I am thinking that lots of the Eldar have floaty, flowing stuff on their hats, and it might make a nice bit of decoration to have hanging down from the back of her helmet.

So... when can I pre-order 2?

Alright I am liking the helm, gotta admit it. Is the idea that the horns are growing out from under the helmet or that they are part of the helm('fake horns')?

Wondering if you had considered putting stiching over her eye lids, to signify some forced use of her "farsight".

ok, first of all, congrats sersi, great thread. you essentially made me join this so i could more easily follow this project.

secondly, wow, amazing modelling skills.

and thirdly, sorry if i get flamed for this, but i really dont like the spider legs. IM SORRY! you are a fantastic modeller and your concepts and sketches are amazing, but i think the whole walking platform cheapens the integrity of your existing ideas.

i'd love to see you splash on some paint. then again, i havent done any warhammer in months (except for last night- thanks to some inspiration from sersi)
