I would buy those and a couple of Gatling turrets if only the plastic SM and Ork fliers weren't coming out next week :(

I'm tempted to put the top right head on a valkyrie pilot, like Wild Bill. Too bad he doesn't have sun glasses on as well.

Oh, such mixed feelings. I'm always excited to see another company making ANZAC heads. But yikes, cariacature-ish, much? Top left's chin makes Bruce Campbell look like a wuss. Top middle is great. Top right is a little over the top, but still definitely usable. I liked the Bottom middle until I saw the scar. And Bottom right is just right out. :/

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Horus pads, "Termes" pattern:

I suspect the "Termes" pattern would fit on Games Workshop Terminator models, while the standard model would fit on Games Workshop Marine models.

Hello,
When I see the prometheus brides head I think of the woman from StarCraft, queen of blades. They might make a very good addition to a Ad-Mech force, especially a retinue, if the leader is involved with Slannesh.

Carl

While that definitely looks cool, it's a bit of bad timing considering a plastic ork airplane kit was just announced. Six months to a year ago, something like that would have been golden during apoc games.

Actually, I think it's fantastic timing given that it looks completely different to the plastic kit, and it now has rules for use in standard 40K games instead of just Apocalypse.

the version without the 'uge engines has no visible means of propulsion at all. that's a bit of a shame. aside from that though, great model and even greater timing. not an ork player myself but loving this for variation.

Exactly!

More variety = better, in this case!

Variety is better, I agree... but I can't help but feel they'll lose sales to the official GW flyer kit. I've met plenty of people that strongly prefer to buy GW stuff when available for 40k as they (mistakenly) assume every store/pickup game/tourney requires it. Not surprisingly, those same generally play in GW stores the majority of the time. Don't get me wrong and think that I'm whining or mad or whatever that this is coming out... I simply think it would have been better for the company financially to have released this a bit earlier.

1.) People who only buy GW stuff, are not Puppet's War customers, so they are not lost.
2.) To be fair, Puppet's War released an almost identical Ork jet in March.

Sorry, that was meant to be "strongly prefer to buy" and not "only buy".

edit: I didn't know they came out with another airplane. Looking at it (and posting the pic below for people who may have missed the announcement like me), I'd suspect from the size and loadout that its more of a counts-as deffcopta than a true flyer like their newer release. Either way, they should make for a nice mini-squadron on the tabletop... sort of an orc version of some 109's escorting a He-111.

Firstly I'd like to say that I have one of these and the detail on the orc pilot and the plane are amazing. I'd love to see some puppet wars orks as the pilots/gunners that I have or have seen online either are nicely detailed or look nicely detailed.

I really like the idea of the orc flying coffin. it looks fun and I'm sure from what else I have that it will be of a very high standard. I'm torn because I also love the mig 21 look of the burna bummer of the GW stuff which is nice. I'm delighted that I can field two entirely different versions of the same plane, that's orky to the max I M O

I was talking about this WIP pic posted 15th March (and on page 13 of this thread), but didn't realise that it hasn't been released until now (somehow thought there was another version without the bg engines as they usually don't wait 2 months for a release).

Looks like that Nazi jet interceptor from WWII. Cool.

It's the same kit, the engines can be left off the aircraft if you wish. It's worth buying the kit and leaving the engines off as they'd make great conversion components

I like the jet a lot, but the engines are not great. The real problem in my mind is the bizarre placement so far forward connected by hoses(???). Just removing all of that hose mess and putting them under the wings would improve it some, but truthfully it would greatly improved by scaling them down a little too. I get that they are Orks and need to be OTT but the size as is went too far.

I especially like the front canopy skeleton thing on the jet; it's a really nice design.

I just put in for two of each turret. This is the first non-conversion las-plas design that actually looks good and the gatling turret looks awesomely heavy duty; just the thing to go on my devastators' razorback. Do we think they'll bother adding the not heavy bolters and not heavy flamers as options?
