So, what kind of monster army are you making? What rule set?

Age of Sigmar rules, kinda going by wound count but mostly just picking up models i like the most and going from there. At the moment im trying to build up a semi balanced force to go against the stormcast eternals from the sigmar boxed set, but after that im not sure

The dragon is looking really nice, the giraffe is going to have some really good LOS advantages I think

for all its giraffe based shooting attacks, "neck beam" "spot cannon"

(sounds like a bad pokemon)

SO

i had another game or half game today (pics below) and found out about a chaos god i didn't know anything about. did some research and it seems like it could be a really cool option for my chaos army.

"Malal, also now called Malice, is a renegadeChaos God and the Hierarch of Anarchy and Terror who appeared in early editions of the fictional universes of Warhammer Fantasyand Warhammer 40,000. Also known as "The Outcast God", "The Lost God" and "The Renegade God", Malal was the embodiment of Chaos' indiscriminate and anarchic tendency toward destruction, even of itself and its own agents. The nature of Malal's/Malice's powers is parasitic, as the Renegade God grows in power only when the other Ruinous Powers do. Malal's sacred number is 11 and his sacred colours are black and white.

The Renegade God

There is a name whispered quietly and with fear even by the most depraved, the most evil, and the least sane of the worshippers of Chaos. That name is Malal, the Renegade God of Chaos. Any man who dares look within the unholy black pages of The Great Book of Despair, that foul tome held sacred by worshippers of Chaos, would find the following words: "...and he that went before now came last, and that which was white and black and all direction was thrown against itself. Grown mightily indignant at the words of the Gods, Malal did turn his heart against them and flee into the chambers of space . . . And no man looked to Malal then, save those that serve that which they hate, who smile upon their misfortune, and who bear no love save for the damned. At such times as a warrior's heart turns to Malal, all Gods of Chaos grow fearful, and the laughter of the Outcast God fills the tomb of space . . ."

In eons past Malal was cast out from the bosom of Chaos by the other Gods, or else abandoned them of his own volition, no one is sure which. In any case, Malal's relationship to the other Gods of Chaos is a strange one. All Gods of Chaos pursue purposes that are wholly their own, yet only Malal occupies a position so antithetical to the success of his own unfathomable creed. To be a follower of Malal is to be a Chaotic warrior bent upon shedding the blood of other Chaotic creatures. As such, Malal is both feared and hated by the other Chaos Gods. Malal's worshippers, too, are loathed by other Chaotics; they are outcasts beloved by neither the friends nor enemies of Chaos, dependent upon the least whim of their patron deity. Few men worship such a God; fewer still live long in his service. The bonds that tie master and servant ever drain upon the soul of the warrior, and it is a rare man that can loosen the bonds of Malal once forged."

seems to fit quite well with the army ive got so far, since its all beasts and monsters and no mark specifics. also ive inadvertently done black armour on the dragon ogres and my main dragon is white... so yeah. (seems i might be under Malal's influence.

Anyway pics from the latest battle below. The nurgle force is a friend of mines, great looking collection, might put up some better shots in the near future (unless i can convince him to join daka, in which case he can do it)

Thanks for looking

SO,
i've always liked dragons and ive always liked dragon ogres, so im making an army entirely of them

This is going to be my new Galrauch conversion (going to use the white dragon as a zombie dragon from vampire counts as the profile seems to fit quite well)

[url=http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/763455-.html]

Since i was last here i finished a dragon ogre shaggoth conversion
(which im pretty happy with, the standard model is kinda weedy, with no armour and a small axe. so i bulked him out a bit giving him a chest plate and shoulder pads as well as a helmet. pretty happy with th base too which i kinda wanted to look like warpstone)

So once i finished the first dragon ogre shaggoth i figured i would try my hand at scratch building/kit bashing one of my own. Wasn't really impressed with the amount of muscle or mass on the standard kit so ive tryed to make mine quite a lot bulkier but still in scale with the standard model.

Custom Dragon Ogre Shaggoth

So obviously not finished yet, need to go over the toes and fingers of the dragon half as well as do some more work on the giant axe. pretty happy with it t the moment though.

So im kinda looking a this as a new force, and separating my beastmen and dragon ogres armys into two.

Chaos from the forest and Chaos from the mountains

might try and keep a loose malal worshipping theme going through with little hints in the paint scheme etc, but im undecided atm.

Anyway thanks for looking
