I get what you mean, but I still would prefer my standard infantry be human sized. Maybe they can do few ogrettes though?

RH has shown themselves to be pretty good at listening to feedback/constructive criticism.

I know they're saying all the right things (they're coming up with their own game!) but they would be silly to make these models not good 'counts as' for... other games.

Hi guys!
Just wanted to drop in very quickly (why can't days have more than 24 hours? why?) and let you know that we are indeed monitoring this thread, and are taking into account your remarks.
Thank you again for your support and feedback, it's much appreciated!

Well, as you are listening: please, do not make standard troopers more than 30mm tall!

Agreed I am very happy with my present RH - a bit small is easier to deal with IMO than too big?

Its something that was a major downer when I found out how large the Dystopian Wars minis were.

Really cool to see the feedback is at least being taken onboard!
I'll be monitoring the Dark Elves kickstarter as a possible gateway into Warhammer Fantasy so I'm very much looking forward to seeing how things progress with your first project so I can gauge how much, roughly, I'll need to save up for those fantastic looking, nefarious, pointy eared folk.

In which case, I really hope that I'll be able to use them as counts as DE for Warhammer but so far I've heard good things about the scale of the figures so I'm pretty excited.

It's either that or GW's getting my money, so make it good! ;P

For Dark Elves I would prefer males as well as females as I want some good looking spear elves and other units that would have a mix. Of course I want them in good poses so they rank up and look like disciplined but evil troops for the spear elves.

Addition - unless of course you are going to make a female Ogryn model - which would be very cool IMO !!

I wouldn't want any Ogres, but something along the lines of the more civilised giants that I prefer would be nice.

If we are getting whatever we want I would love an RH High Elven Queen/Archmage

Only found one high elf that's half decent, Mage on elemental base, and am sure RH could get the haughty yet stunning Elven features we expect

If you subtract the 10-inch heels and giant hats the sisters are actually a lot closer to GW scale than they first appear to be. Not really such a problem for hero models either though the thing with the sisters is that their legs are disproportionately long. The rest of their scaling is not too bad.

Then let's state this as clearly as we possibly can, even though you almost certainly already know this:

Spartan Games previewed a line of Dystopian miniatures for a skirmish game. Everyone here was super-jazzed about them because they looked amazing, and the possibilities for both the game and their inclusion in other games (we all know which one I mean) was quite high. Then the miniatures came out and they were far too big to be used in any comparative game.

You should not design your miniatures with another company's game in mind (unless you want to of course) but what scale the models are in is very important. If there's a practical reason not to make them compatible with other 28mm heroic lines (or just 30mm-32mm), then that's fine and we'll understand, but if you can make them 'match' similar scale games and there's no downside to doing so, then please do. It will make us far more interested in them.

I also agree. For a regiment and army, scale is more important than for a single hero.

Maybe in the 4th kickstarter from now. Not sure if I would call RH's women "decent" though

Definitely scale them to GW sizes, but not GW proportions.

There's a very important difference between those two words.

Good thing, they seem aware of that:
Raging Heroes wrote:We realized that, for some games, the Fantasy Blood Vestals would feel just a tad small/petite. However, we felt that it fitted well this particular unit of delicate yet deadly female warriors.
For the upcoming Dark Elves releases, we will probably up their size and bulk a little bit, since everybody in the industry is slowly migrating to 32mm as opposed to the traditional 28mm found in Fantasy.
This is less a concern for the Sci-fi Blood Vestals, which are already pretty much all in 32mm, hence their larger size. However, we must also add that what most people seem to like in Raging Heroes minis (grace, nice proportions, feminine look, etc.) is nearly impossible to make in old-school-style 28mm scale, because, even if you may not realize it, the proportions are so distorted and squat and so, hardly suitable for female characters.

Spoiler:

Damn I like that concept art... which I know will end up annoying me, since the Prussians are the second faction for the campaign, but they're the thing I'm most interested in. Grrr...

I like 90% of it, but not the head. It would make a great fencer character if not for the helmet.

Heh, I find the helmet and faceplate to be great. Different strokes as they say. I love the combination of classical Prussian styling and "modern" piping. Man I hope that survives the transition from art to model.

As for the scaling concerns, I have and am in process of painting the Raging Heroes Skaarlys and SF Blood Vestals models to use as Lady Malys and a unit of Bloodbrides in my DE army. The size of the models is perfect, and don't stand out as odd compared to GW models (maybe they're slightly smaller, but not by height, they're just more 'petite', thinner/graceful). It would be very strange if their IG females were not to scale, considering their other stuff is perfect.

Sometimes, you just gotta take something cause the model is freakin cool...

Yes, but GW Elves/Eldar are taller than their humans, so if they want to keep them in scale with GW, RH humans need to be shorter too.

As long as they don't have ridiculously large knockers, their faces don't look like they're straight from an anime, and they're not stripperiffic, I'll be very interested in these.

I do not have high hopes...
