There is no special game mechanic concerning the dice. You just need standard 6 sided dice. The premium dice just look cool, and have been quite popular.

Most weapons in the game only require 1-2 dice, but there are suvivor abilities that add a die, experience cards that add a die, compansions that add a die or two, so it's not uncommon to be roling 6-8 dice per attack later in the game.

I like having lots of dice to roll. We start each player with his own set of 12. As others have pointed out, if you don't mind sharing, and occasionally re-rolling, you can get by with the dice they give you.

I believe there are 6 Red with white pips, and 6 Black with Zombie/Torch included with the pledge levels.

Adrian Smith one is ok, but the characters are a bit samey.

Can't stand the other add-on artist boxes. Paolo slut box is just another Paolo slut box, and the other one just has terrible art and uninteresting characters.

On one hand, I like the idea of all the guest boxes because more minis. But on the other I kinda feel like it takes away from the theme, like everything would match better if it was all the same original cartoony style art. I guess I like sameness.

It's vitally important to have multiple sets of dice - it's a board game, and it's very peasant-like to have to keep passing dice around. Fortunately, the game will come with at least 2 sets of dice, maybe 3. The dice sets you receive should be more than adequate for playing purposes.

At the moment I'm probably going to get the Karl Kopinski and Paolo Parente set, maybe not Adrian Smith as I'm getting some of his stuff through the Conan KS. Although, they all look great!

I assume all of the Paul Bonner stuff is mixed in with the regular stretch goals?

Looks like it's closing in on the magic 2-mil point soon !

So, according to the videos there will be NO dragon.....anytime soon. A dragon is a dragon and needs to do dragonish things, or something like that. If one were to come along in the future it will be huge, and the tiles are too small to fit what they envision a dragon to be able to do. They want the mechanics for it to work correctly as well, so it won't make an appearance in this season at least

They did hint at Adrian smith creating a drawing for something special for the end of the campaign.

Whoever said artistic genius is not a genetic thing, clearly never met the Kopinski brothers!

Karl and Stefan Kopinski are without a doubt some of the best artists working in the business today. We have already announced the Karl Kopinski Special Guest box, and now we have the pleasure of announcing Stefan Kopinski's Special Guest box!

The Stefan Kopinski Special Guest box comes with 4 Survivors of his creation, including their miniatures and unique ID cards.

After completing a BA Honors in Fine Art Stefan worked in various design fields, including 5 years in Games Workshop's Production and Design Studios in Nottingham as a Photoshop consultant, project coordinator and digital illustrator. Displaying and teaching the potential of Photoshop to the studios, he revamped the entire product range of the company; from box packaging and its photography through to book layout and graphic illustration.
Since 2004 he has dedicated himself to freelance illustration. Specialising in Photoshop he now works primarily for the games industry, helping visualise and realize the weird and wonderful ideas from the minds of some great companies around the world.
Stefan now lives with his family in West Yorkshire. Taking more influence from the rolling landscapes around him, he intends focusing a little more on painting environment and landscape imagery to add to his repertoire.

Those production minis look really good - especially the heroes in the 'brown plastic' - nicely done there!

New dashboard and inventory system works incredibly well. My favorite new feature is dragon bile, which replaces Molotov cocktails. What makes it interesting is that you can crest a "trail" of dragon bile and set it on fire from multiple squares away...and even around corners.

That does sound like a sweet mechanic, cincy! The production minis in that video look pretty decent, except for the face on that last one right at the end of the video.

Hard to tell from the short glimpse, but it looked pretty good to me. I'll reserve judgement til we get some better images from a non-shaky camera. I did notice some of the swords seemed sort of thin, resulting in some potentially bendiness of the material. The color choices for the survivors do work well for showing the detail, though.

A teenage girl with her pet baby dragons would be fun....

Some of the Discworld stuff would be fantastic - Susan, Cohen, his granddaughter, Twoflower............

I'd almost see that as a special character if they do a vampire themed expansion. We have Wolfsburg, so I think a possible vampire expansion would be next season.

This is one I cannot pass up.
I played the original maybe three times, and it was good enough to buy. But, with all the expansions, I've held out.
So, on with the KS, and all the goodies is comes with

What with 'Tim', 'Jared', 'Ash', and a few more recognisables, it'll be a fun box to paint up.
