I like the Ablobination.

It's not as cool as the Abominotaur (obviously!), but it's still an excellent addition to the KS.

The coolest part is that they are sharing the new Abomination type rules with us. I plan on using those rules in my current Zombicide games, as soon as I can find some appropriate figures.

Jason has updated his blog - http://monster-zer0.blogspot.ie/2015/06/zombicide-blaack-plague-ablobination.html

He must really like sculpting Abominations as again this wasn't ordered he just did it himself so that makes the Female Abomb, Abominotaur and Ablobination that he did for fun.

not as big as the Abominotaur after all

MY S2&S3 boxes helped finance this KS and about 3 others I pledged for.

I regretted it a bit at first, but I knew Black Plague was way more up my alley.

Maybe we'll see a dragobomination for the 3million mark? 4 million? There's gotta be a dragon in there somewhere....

Or a Dracolich maybe? Would fit with the Necromancers too.

Or there could be an abomummynation , but that would probably be there to WRAP UP the kickstarter.

That's a good idea there!

Dracolich isn't a trademarked/registered term, is it?

I think if CMON don't have a Dracobomination up their sleeves there will be a fair number of disappointed backers - it's come up regularly on the comments ever since this thing started.

I don't know if they'll actually do one, but the 3 million mark would certainly be a suitable occasion to unveil another Abominabeastie.

Very interesting that the sculptor just decided to do the Ablobination and Abominotaur on his own, and that CMON adopted them into the game after the fact. I don't like the cartoony / hulkish "normal" Abomination sculpts, including the one that comes with Black Plague, but the Ablob and Abominotaur are the two main reasons I've decided to stay in this KS campaign. They're far and away the best large monsters I've seen come out of Zcide yet.

I'm guessing that neither the blob nor the 'taur will be part of the main Black Plague box set when this hits retail?

I'm also hoping to see more iconic fantasy KS exclusive sculpts before this is done. Considering the wealth of choices available from Hollywood to literature, stopping with Hemsworth - a figure I find it hard to believe that anyone wanted - would be disappointing.

I mean, for Tolkien alone right now we just have one Boromir tribute. Why Boromir, of all the Tolkien characters that they could have chosen? Again, did anyone actually want that? It's as if they were doing a Star Wars tribute figure for a sci-fi Zombicide and it turned out to be "3rd Stormtrooper from the left."

That "Ablobination" sculpt is awesome, but the name is even better

Same for the Abominotaur, well done done on both counts!

Wait, what? So Zombicide is doing fantasy and there's no Tolkien tributes at all? And what the hell kind of fantasy name is "Ned Stark?" Sounds like my next-door neighbor.

Game of Thrones my ass. You young whippersnappers don't know what fantasy is. Why, in my day we had REAL sword and sorcery heroes like Kukla, Fran, and Ollie.

I'd say any fantasy game invovling short people has already been influenced by Tolkein. No need to go further down that road.

But drug addled albino witch kings guided by evil swords? Not seeing a whole lot of them around.

I definitely agree some sort of Eternal Champion would be cool.

Of course, there's nothing stopping you from using the models, and probably even the map tiles, from this in original Zombicide! Could have some time travelling shenanigans involved, and I'll bet we'll see a number of fan-made crossover scenarios (and inserts for the new character trays) made shortly after release.

I just wish I was more excited by the core theme though, as this is an amazing value Kickstarter but it feels insane to consider pledging for it before I've played more than a single mission with my S3 stuff. I don't think I've ever felt a greater disconnect between the obvious quality and value of a product and the appeal of the theme.

I was planning on a renaissance fair map in normal zombicide as we already have a few cosplay characters

I wonder how many guest boxes they have lined up the way the graphic is set up on the homepage it definitely looks like there is room for a sixth paid for guest box and still 17 days to go.

I like this Guest Box much more than the last few addon boxes. Will definitely be adding it to my pledge. I also really like the look of the sculpts for the HATE guest box which is the only other one I had planned on picking up.

Having not played Zombicide before, how important is it to have more dice, or different colored dice? How many should I look at getting? And how many different colors? I don't need to be a collector .

A couple of sets of dice are all you will need, to be honest you can easily get by with the basic set they have in the box as long as you are happy to pass between players. The different colours are mostly just a collectors thing or so that everyone can have their own set in a unique colour.

Yeah 2 sets of dice is plenty and any D6s will do most weapons are 1 or 2 dice maybe 3 here and there some like the chainsaw and Mac-10 are 5 dice, there are only 2 weapons in the seaosn 1-3 that require more than 6 dice and that's Doug's dream at 8 and Betty (Wanda's Chainsaw) at 7 dice. It's handy to have a set of 6 dice per player but not necessary.

I assume BP weapons will be similar.

You only really need a single set to play, unless your group suffers from "don't touch my dice" syndrome, in which case the multiple sets will help so each player can have a set to use.

I dont like the ZC dice as they have a logo on both the 1 and the 6 which I find annoying so I just use normal d6 and sell the other dice to suckers who like funny dice
