Definitely a departure from the classic clean metals of the normal scheme, but undeniably still Iron Warriors... If you carry this over to a full army... Man will that look sweet!

Breathtaking, no matter how far I zoom in I just can't find a flaw. The eyes are beautifully done. such a smooth gradient. The subtle but meaningful variation in tone from one metal to the next. Those beautiful touches of blue and purple on the guns. The whole thing is just a testament to the indisputable fact that you are one of the best. Amazing work Nerdy.

Here's round 2 of the Iron Warriors army for Mr RiTides a Magos which was probably my least favorite model that turned into my favourite! the yellow mechanical arms were a bit of a risk but I just love the industrial look they have with the robes

Same goes for the Scyllax the dirty yellow carapace and dark metals look hard wearing and usable and I can imagine the oily metal clacking as those mechandrites whirl and reach, exploring for something to focus their killing programs on.

The other guys and the little mascot are just as cool!

They look excellent! Funny to be painting the two opposing forces (whalemusic is the enemy!) simultaneously

The dog is going in every list, he's just too cute . And I love the choice for the Magos robes! I wasn't sure how they would fit in, but the brown works great, really lets his mechanical bits stand out

The blending on the yellow is fantastic. I feel like they need some hazard stripes to really sell them as Iron Warriors though.

The heads are from Anvil Industries (they don't sell them separately but you get 2 extra heads per set). I'm going to use the actual models they're from as Adsecularis which nerdfest will work on when the final wave happens

The familiar is from Blind Beggar Miniatures, and they've got some other cute robo critters, too

Whalemusic, that's a great point, although I'm just running these as Mechanicus and borrowing IW colors . There will be striping on the big models but straight yellow on the little guys.

Ah, gotcha. I was thinking they were "seconded" to Iron Warriors.

Another squad of Salamanders for Whaley finished which now only leaves me with all the troops and a dread! looks like i'm on track to have both armies ready and back to their respective owners before March so they can go to Adepticon

I know I say it every time I post these guys but I really love how they look together for such a simple style scheme and effect! I hope Whaley approves

I really like how Vulkan came out. Head and backpack swap really made him seem more 30k.

Those are amazing Damo... really leave me speechless. I really like the way the gold wash has collected to the lower parts of some of the round shapes (like the back-pack jets) & gives a kind of counter-highlight to the green, which is above them. Really cool stuff.

Nearly finished 45 Salamanders and 2 (count 'em) Asterion Moloc models just need to highlight the weapons, do the lenses and flames on the black pads then a touch up and shade wash
Asterion is for Whaley's Titan base and the other one is for my AoP board next year.

i'll start with the Sallies.....





and Whaley's Asterion (on the right) looking full beast mode! any ideas for him? more verdigris? or anything.




And my Asterion I changed the head by drilling it out and making room for a bare head fron Forge World, also I used a normal termie arm to change the pose on his shield arm and I pinned and angled his spear arm higher.

The sallies look fantastic damo. Your gold sheen just looks perfect on the green. Very subtle.

I like both versions of Asterion. Didn't realize they were the same figure at first glance... says good things about your modifications.

So many green marines! Love the color balance on them

And that Asterion is going to look sweet on the Titan base!! That's the one Ramos is doing up, right? I assume there are not multiples of Titans although when Adeptus Titanicus hits with them in 8mm, that will change! I cannot wait
