We are happy to announce Gretchinz! This hilarious and violent racing game of cards in which the cards will become the road through which the Gretchins lead. In Gretchinz! Players will get into the skin of crazy Gretchins drivers in traps on wheels that we can hardly call vehicles, in a deadly race on an alien and desert planet.
Players will choose which Klan they belong to, and each of them will give a unique special ability. Each player will have a vehicle and lots of tarot cards in his hand. One face of the cards (the face that the player holds towards him) indicates the type of attack card he can play, while the other face (which the others see) explains what kind of danger lies in front of his devices on wheels .
The game will be published by Devir under license from Games Workshop, based on the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It is created by Roberto Fraga and Yohan Lemonnier. It is illustrated by Albert Monteys (whom many will know for their work on El Jueves and other similar magazines).
From 2 to 4 players, about 20 minutes per game

I always assumed the plural was just 'gretchin'.
Looks interesting. Will probably grab it. Is there a release date?

Spelling Klan with a K seems unwise, but each to their own.

That's how it's always been spelled.

No it isn't. Even in 'Ere We Go! which had SS stormboyz and swastika glyphs, they always spelled it 'clan'. That spelling has been used consistently in every ork codex since then.

"Gretchinz" "Klan" "deat-trap with whells"
For a licensed product the copy is really poor.
I like the concept though!

Pssst, the source is a Spanish site (makes sense, considering it's Devir Iberica). Galas was a nice guy and translated it to English so you Imperialists can understand it (Thanks Galas )
I like what I read, 20 mns per round, 2-4 players. It could be really fun.

It's bound to have that Google Translate charm. Whether the translation is actually better, though...
So, I'm not really sure what to make of it. "Each player will have a vehicle and lots of tarot cards..." So is this a kard game kompletely, of is the a miniature element to it as well? Normally I'd think the former because of the license thing, but since of of the recent rumor engines had a suspiciously orky wheel, I can't get the thought out of my head that it's more than that.

No offense taken, one of the reasons I post here is to improve my english.
And the game is a Card Game. If it is gonna have miniatures, I don't know. But I doubt it.
One of the reasons I like greenskins in Fantasy but not so much Orks in 40k is because goblins-gretchins. In Fantasy Goblins are like 50% of the Greenskin army, they have a ton of character, deept, miniatures, etc... in the other hand, Gretchins in 40k are a neglected race compared with their goblin equivalent. Everything that can add more to the Greetchin feeling, like the Red Gobbo, is a great thing to me. Even if is only a card game!

True. Gretchin are severely underrepresented. It's gotten a little better with Killa Kanz, Grot Tanks and Mek Gunz, but the infantry is just not there. Not sure if this game is for me, but I was certainly pleasantly surprised to see Gretchin racing instead of, as I would have expected, Ork racing.
Perhaps one day the great grot revolushun we're all hoping for will come...

It probably was when they were made. Orkoids are not known for their literacy.
