At some point in the future I'm looking to add some of these to my collection, but FW discontinued the kit a while ago so it looks like this will be a scratch build. Seems like a simple one, too; just need to decide if I'll use a basic Chimera kit or one of the "up armored" looking ones, like in the Manticore kit.

What does your Salamander look like? I am on a quest for inspiration and have seen quite a few on the Google Images, but would like to see what the Dakkites are up to in this regard.

No pictures since I sold it years ago, but it's a VERY easy conversion from the base chimera. Just leave off the top/back end like you would a Basilisk, add a couple plasticard shields over the top, a plasticard floor then a spare autocannon & crew from the heavy weapons teams and you're good.
