I've been making an extinct Space Marines chapter just for a little side project and now that I'm coming near the end I'm interested in making some more guys to bolster up my points. However, I'm thinking of making a cool kinda extinction list where all the factions are basically extinct and somehow all end up together. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? I don't want to make any more Space Marines but anything else would be a neat suggestion because I just can't seem to find any (also must be imperial so I can use it all together). In addition, would be nice if the tyranids killed um off because that matches my space marines but it's not a priority.

Thunder Warriors. Legio II and Legio XI. Deathwatch Blackshields (not extinct per se, but plenty become Blackshields because their home Chapter is extinct). Legion Blackshields ('neutral' Heresy-era Marines with stripped-down kit). The Legio Cybernetica/Ordo Reductor (a bunch of their robots aren't being made as much anymore because they got a reputation for evilness during the Heresy). The Old Hundred (the hundred Imperial Army regiments with a history predating Unification, one of which is named in lore and is presently extinct, so I don't have much hope for the rest). Navy troops from back before the Heresy when the Navy was allowed to maintain functional ground forces. Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, who seem to have entirely disappeared from the tabletop and the fluff.

The sisters have a number of minor orders that were wiped out, the only ones that come to mind though are the Order of the Vermilion Hand left, who I think were killed to the last, and the Order of the White Rose, who I think some survived but their planet was overrun by Tyranids.

Lucifer Blacks maybe? They were around during the Beast saga but not sure if they were disbanded after that. The Geno Five-Two Chiliad were one of the old hundred .

When you’re talking about basically extinct, do you mean “dead” or “mostly dead?”

Going with the former, Cadians are pretty rare in the galaxy now that their planet is gone. For the latter, Tyrant Guard (mixed Space Marine/Guard force from the Badab war) is dead at this point in the modern 40k timeline, and were sort of loyalist.

40k drinking game: take a shot everytime a book references Skitarii using transports.

I mean mostly dead or dead. Which ever makes more lore sense for fighting alongside other extinct chapters.

Hrud was supposed to be skaven in space.

The Slann where supposed to be lizardmen in space.

Feline (or whatever they where called), supposedly space cat people.

I agree with everyone that squats are the big one.

They've been changed around quite a bit or removed. I don't think either of theese factions are complety extinct, just unmentioned mostly. could fit on the list though.

His pattern of returning alive after being declared dead occurred often enough during Cain's career that the Munitorum made a special ruling that Ciaphas Cain is to never be considered dead, despite evidence to the contrary.
