I very much doubt it,

but that is what they are hoping to do (and it should be possible to achive it a lot more frequently than they managed with the weekly version)

US Subscribers' Update: We've been informed that the forces of Chaos are loose in the USPS (no change, there) and a number of subscribers have not received their copies. The wayward copies have been rounded up and sent in the right direction and subscribers should be receiving them from Monday. We're really sorry that you didn't receive them before launch as subscribers should and we're taking steps to make sure that this doesn't happen next month. If you haven't received your copy by the end of next week, please call Customer Services on 1-800-394-4263.

Obviously won't be getting it Monday, with it being a holiday.

By the end of next week??? A week after I could have gotten it in a store? Thanks, GW. Glad I took a chance on subscribing. Should have waited and bought just the first issue.

Don't you mean Thank You USPS?

It sounds like they were dispatched with plenty of time spare for pre-release delivery.

Just grabbed mine on my lunch break: looking forward to having a read. Especially the battle report (I hope it's good), always loved those. I always remember one of my favorite bat reps - Adrian Wood with his orks, against Paul Sawyer's surrounded imperial guard, who actually won the match. I can't remember now what it was called.. I remember there being a picture of Adrian going "that's my dreadnought!" and then a picture of Paul with his head in his hands going "That's his dreadnought!"

That would be the Last Stand at Glazer's Creek starring my favs, Praetorian Imperial Guard. It was non points based scenario as well.

Definitely a downer about the delay in distribution to US subscribers. You would think that given it is the first issue, they may have erred on the side of caution to make sure subscribers got the issue before it hit the stand. Also bad show to mention Monday, when as everyone in the US knows, Monday is a Holiday, so Tuesday will be the earliest, so I feel that saying from Monday is a bit dishonest.

Also too easy to blame it on the USPS. Periodicals of this type go first class bulk mail. The mailing lists are sorted and CAS certified and then physically sorted by a commercial mail house according to the CAS certified list before delivering to the the USPS so that all USPS has to do is load it onto trucks according to the directions already done for them.

Reading between the lines there was a issue either delivering copies to the commercial mail house, the mail house did not make the bulk mail deadline, or there was in error in the sorting by the mail house and the mailing was rejected by the USPS accordingly. Given that they said they collected the copies, I believe it to be the later.

At the very least, they can at least make the digital copy available free of charge to those subscribers who will be receiving their issues late.

I'm assuming it was an issue related to bulk postage.

More worried about getting it and the figure being missing, than not getting it at all.

That to be tough, it was in a bag, in a bag, in a bag. The outer bag being totally opaque.

The odds of it being missing for any reason other than theft are pretty remote.

That's good news. I assumed it would be in clear bag, like at the newstand.

My copy arrived yesterday. It's so much bigger than my old Dwarfs. I'm not really satisfied yet, it is a step in the right direction, but needs way more meat. C'mon, one page per guy for 4 generals with a lot of the page covered in pics of pretty much stock models without a hint of conversion? Blergh.

And my Slaugtherpriest has the little impaled skull broken off and a snapped Hackblade, worth contacting GW over this? I didn't when my Khorgorat had snapped tentacle arms and now I get *another* model damaged during transport?! Come ooon.

Mine had the little skull broken off and loose in the bag. I'm not going to bother complaining. If I did I'd be more likely to mention the ridiculous size/scale of the model or the really poor sprue design where the mold line goes up the center of both legs' armour plates and spikes. This is the quality sprue design GW manage these days?

The magazine itself is better than the weekly offering was and way better than Visions. At the end of the day though, we're really just buying directed advertising.

Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity.

Got mine today at Maldon's Tesco's.

Did a really quick and shallow review with a few pics.

Truth be told they did put a lot of effort on this one, like they tried to cover every single game and more!
There is a bit for everyone and a lot for Space marine fans.

Its a huge deal with the free mini.

I wonder what they are going to do if I don't get my issue by the end of next week. Of course I didn't get mine on time, that would be too simple.

I think the wings are from the Crypt Horror/Varghast kit. The head is from the Ghoul King on Zombie Dragon kit.

I'll be sure to throw that remark back in your face when the first Hobbit issue comes along and you're whining that theres no 40K content.

I don't like Age of Sigmar, but I'm not so petty and childish as to rejoice when theres no content or releases for that game, or complain when there is.

Mine delivered today from Korea's one and only flgs. Arrived in a box o.O they take delivery very seriously over here! So far I'm really impressed. Whoever was whining on that it was an AoS issue was so far off the mark. Loadsa great stuff from the 41st. Great issue and a great return to form. Oh fig is pretty damn tasty as well - can be converted into pretty much a ton of other stuff if that's your flavour
