...No? Extra wheels don't make you go faster in paved areas, they're meant to help in all terrain situations. So if anything, that tank looks better for some off road muddin' for the Imperium!

But the switch from tracks to wheels should make it perform better on the track. Nurbergring here we come!

The only thing proven to increase speed is a red paint job.

(not applicable in all editions and codexes, some restrictions apply, YMMV, see dealer for details)

It would make it faster on road, improve fuel mileage, and decrease weight so you could transport it in Thunderhawks and redeploy your Imperial Guard mechanized company to Iraq on short notice.
Tracks are better for mobility in soft terrain though, useful for when the Orks try to push through the Fulda gap.

You'd get a speed bonus in paved areas if you ported 40k to Bolt Action (where "wheeled vehicle", "tracked vehicle", and "halftrack" do different things in different kinds of terrain), but it doesn't help you in 40k as it stands.

That's what we need - a game of Imperial racing and battlin' (literally) for first place position. Why should orcs have all the fun?

Can you get super lowered suspension in a off road vehicle? Undercarriage lighting and a banging sound system in the back. Plenty of space for it.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Well, being the way my forces are, it might be nice to have even if it's just to "be different."
