Hello everyone,
This is the the thread and poll for the popularity vote for the finished pieces of the 25th League of Extraordinary Riveters terrain competition. Although I am judge and will be picking the winner of the actual competition, it would be nice to vote for your favorite. That crafter plus many others will get to see that you like and are impressed with their work.
The Contest was called "For the War Effort" where builders were asked to make a piece of terrain that would be used to strengthen, reinforce, or resupply a military force.
Finalists are:
Tek Thornson
inmygravenimage
Maniac_nmt
M0rdain
Briancj
Camkierhi
boundless08
Tek Thirnson's Dwarf Fortress:
inmygravenimage' Arkham Asylum:
Maniac_nmt's Roman Limes Tower:
M0rdain's High ground gun emplacement:
Briancj's Orkoid cargo transfer point:
Camkierhi's Tank Factory:

Voted, difficult choice as always - wish it was multiple choice so I could vote for my top three (or seven...) to make it easier

Voted. Interesting, not for the entry that immediately caught my favor. I researched everyone's gallery images for past projects to compare against current results. I found that most contestants have maintained a skill level for some time, and that is a compliment for everyone. Ultimately I voted for the entry that impressed me the most regarding the theme of the contest and the materials used. My vote will remain a secret, but hails to my champion and I hope you fare well.

Thank you for the chance to play Syro. I can be a bit of a magpie chasing after lots of stuff, and these help focus me a bit on a project.
If you guys haven't read it or skimmed through it, I highly recommend:
https://www.amazon.com/Battlefields-Miniature-Realistic-Effective-Wargames-ebook/dp/B00WQ4QQ9M/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1527099417&sr=1-1&keywords=battlefields+in+miniature
There are lots of nice little tidbits in there for terrain making. Stuff from making your own tufts for basing up to pinning balsa and the wonders of legos.
Best of luck all.

Great entries all. Came here with a vote in mind from following the thread - changed my mind after seeing all the finished shots together, then after going through all the spoilers pics a few times actually placed my vote for a third entry. Well done everyone

Great work all. Voted, and before I looked at the results too, so as not to be unduly influenced.
Everything looks really playable too. A very important thing, IMHO.

Everyone did truly do a great job, like Dr H said, these seven are not making it easy for me.
@Ruglud: Thanks for taking the time to vote, I almost made it multiple choice for the reason you said, but felt it might be more true to force everyone to pick only one.
@boundless; Thanks for voting, and I agree on the entries. I'm glad you liked the topic, I hoped it would be fun and inspiring for everyone.
@Skalk Bloodaxe: You sound like a judge I was impressed when looking through everyone's galleries also, to check how the amount of skill and dedication may have changed too. I felt that above maintaining high skill levels, some even managed to put more in than usual. It was a real honor.
@Maniac_nmt: I'm very glad you decided to join, watching the progression of the Roman Limes tower was very enjoyable. So are you hooked now?
@monkeytroll: Thanks for stopping by and voting. It's especially great that you took so much time to look through them all and let your ideas be influenced and changed.
@Red Harvest: Thanks for voting. I agree, I've always preferred stuff stay playable, no matter how cool dioramas can turn out.

Thanks Syro. It was as enjoyable as the peasant house I built for Ronin. I know historicals are a minority on the board, but hopefully it gives folks some ideas to try out. I certainly do enjoy perusing the stuff folks produce for these and gleaning new things to try.

Fantastic work from everyone, I truly love these competition, so much inspirational ideas, so much beautiful work. I cannot express enough the joy I get watching you all develop as artists. And to see the return of some wonderful competitors has been a real treat this time around. Truly kept up the League tradition. And to all of you brilliant and wonderful people who look in, comment, and come up with ideas, and especially anyone who started making something.......Thank you so much for being here.
