Correction, that is not a dude, that is a man!

Reminds me of Prince Valiant vikings. Love it.

Is it just me or should we be listening to Powerwolf while checking out this KS?

Neat sculpts, but they look to be 25mm, so they wont fit in w anything I own from the last 20 years...

$15 plus $14 shipping (Canadian, but still) is way too much for mustache Viking. I'd also get Larping Jamie Wee Curtis and Kate Peckinsale if they weren't quite so pricey.

Were these designed to blend in seamlessly with Frostgrave metals? The scale looks...diminutive.

The KS states:

"28mm gaming miniatures, cast in durable, quality resin"

They're shorter and slighter than the LOTR mini in the scale shot, comparable in height to a squatting GW Empire militia. They'd probably fit in with Red Box Games guys and more truescale historical, but not most modern fantasy ranges.

The setting should be better known to gamers outside of Germany by the Realms of Arkania computer RPG series (DSA Nordland Trilogie) by Attic Studio The first miniature's inspiration is the (pen and paper) The Dark Eye 3rd ed starter box cover.

Winged helmets have a long tradition in the Dark Eye world going back to its first edition illustrations by the british artist Bryan Talbot in 1984.

The original 'Expert set' (level 15+ when characters might travel from Aventuria to the hollow world setting Tharun)

They;re large 28mm - They fit with Frostgrave and most Reaper stuff. They do look a bit small beside 30mm Warhammer, but are larger than the GW LoTR stuff (it's a bit unfortunate that a hunched over woman is beside a really large stretching man in that shot)

They're more true scale than cartoon "heroic". Look fine to me but i think KD / Arex scale would have been better

Uh, what?

They look to fit the Frostgrave and Warlord "dumpy heroic" scale. If they are large 28mm minis, they will look freakish.

Note:
We will expand the range of DSA/TDE minis to include: more generic characters, monsters and perhaps even city life. The speed of this development depends largely on the outcome of this first crowdfunding campaign.

Orcs, Goblins, Achaz and mounted Models would be also nice.

In 2019, we will harness the talents of Magister Ilmenblick aka Ulisses' own "Steff" to help bring our StrongSword ruleset into the realm of Aventuria.

That's nice.

-

Would be nice when this Models could later distributed by Ulisses.

The comparasion pic talked about in the thread:

Looks a bit smaller than the old GW scale. (that free companeer has pretty bent legs). But larger than LotR scale (Gandalf isn't very representative for the range as a whole)

Will Ulisses distribute them later in Germany?

Hi there,

The campaign is closing in 60 hours. 32 minis got unlocked and the average price is down to £3.50

I also got around to take much better photos with a proper ruler.

Thanks for having a look!
