Really nice, love all of it.
Keep painting pretty things.

Going good! 60+ chapters have already been reserved But as the project only started this weekend, the mini's have not arrived yet. So you are too far ahead of the project lol. I expect some to arrive by the end of the week and I'm cooking on a Salamander tutorial right now.
This blog needs my attention again and the individual chapters will provide the content it needs
The tutorial as always was a pretty cool one.
Good to see you back, seems like you've been gone for awhile.
I will be interested to see how this developes, but from the mini I see above I like it already. As always keep up the good work and give us an update soon.

The space marine project log sounds pretty cool. It's going to be good to see some of the more obscure chapters get done up,well good luck with it.Seems like a large undertaking, yet I'm sure you will be able to pull it off.

@Watsabi- BA will be soon. The guy who requested them also called dibs on the sub chapters and splinters like Flesh Tearers, Angels Sanguine etc. So you'll see those too
Figured this is a good place as any to prod ya brain for idea's. Your Tut's are amazing btw and your current work is staggering high compared to my own. Ok Epeen inflation done. All truth don't get me wrong
Point is I just ordered my Eldar and plan on a Phoenix scheme to paint. Like the fire bird etc... I do not have the foggest idea where to begin. I have all the colors of the phoenix spectrum with the washes and shades in between. But as for free handing v tracing. Wet brush blending etc. Dunno what to do. What I want and what I will make are two different things. Need help with idea's how to merge both into a single being of awesomesauce.
Ordered:
WraithLord
wraithguard x4
Maugan Ra
2x Wave Serpants
2x Guardian squads with Weapon platforms
Ranger squad
Farseer
Warlock
Sorry to bother you on your blog page but figured any help you could provide me would probably help other people as well. Thanks for your time.

"Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, love is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and fewer would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose, against statistically long odds." ~ HK-47
As far as the scheme goes you need to be specific. Like you are getting a tattoo.
If you are just wanting the colors of the phoenix: yellows, oranges, and reds: you have to decide what to do. Are we doing armor with those colors and just using red as the shade and blending up to yellow? Or all black with phoenix heraldry? A mix or what?
But I suggest talking specifics by starting a thread in the Painting and Modeling section about what you are trying to do. Lots of clever people here on dakka that can help you with ideas to bring your scheme to life. But none will have good input without the details of the effect you are trying to achieve.

Point taken. Thanks for the insight. Believe it or not the thread I did there lead to your name. But yeah I never thought about it like that. What I was thinking was red as the shade and blending up to yellow and the wraith lords / guards phoenix heraldry would work well. Just on your reply alone I have a better scope to work on. Once I have all the details laid out will probably start another thread with everything in it.
Can't Thank you enough

Not taking commissions at the moment. I'm putting all my time into the SM project videos and my online store. When things are running smoothly I'll start taking commissions again. I plan on changing my commissions to 1 standard. Basically like the Salamander I did. Very clean tabletop. Still need to figure pricing. But that will happen before I open up again.
Hi LB, all great stuff. Checked out the APJ store, good concept, but i was left thinking "what do these pigments look like on a model" - might be a thought to add a link on your products to 'click here for an example of this product in use'?
I know I can hunt through your work and find them, and I shall. just an idea.
Anyway, respect and best of luck with the store, I shall subscribe to the newsletter!
