BRILLIANT!!!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Like the girl a lot. I wish it had a proper/thicker/armoured waist though.

Some bad news man. Rikard just sent me a message on this model. It won't be submitted to Ed for casting because it resembles another miniature by Reaper. Don't want any IP breaches to occur.

This is what Rikard had to say about it:

Hey man,

I saw you put the vamp up on Dakka Dakka, just so you know she won't be cast, very closely based off the reaper 54mm monique de noir, the pose might be different but the armour shapes details and designs are the same.

If anyone asks the mounted wight king is what I'm working on next then another ganger, then a saurus Temple Guard hero.

After that I'm thinking about some TK stuff (really like the GW artwork for queen Khalidia) and possible a minotaur doombull min.

Girls are all good fun, but my heart and focus is and always has been monsters.

Updates:

A message from Ynek:
The hip components, made in two halves for ease of casting. There are no undercuts, which is something I've been keen to maintain throughout this whole project, since I want to make this as easy to cast as possible (since this might improve my chances of this model being accepted for production by the TFM gods... )

Now that I look at the right hand side, I realise that it is a little plain compared to the left, and I'll be adding some more rivets and cables to liven it up a bit.

This adapter fits into either side of the thigh component, and allows it to fit onto the hemispheres on either side of the hip joint. This allows the same thigh to be cast twice and then made different by which side the adapter is glued onto. I intend to occupy the adapter-hole on the other side of the thigh with some sort of a vent or a hemisphere plug.

Pilot in progress (admittedly, it's only just started and there isn't much to show, but I just thought I'd share whilst I was here. )

The finished head is going to be wearing a facemask similar to those worn by modern fighter jet pilots, with wild locks of long, flowing hair. I normally sculpt bald heads (because it's both easy to sculpt, and is an easy way to make the model look like a hardass) but with this young lady, I intend to give some long-hair sculpting a try. It might take me one or two attempts to get something I like, but I need to learn somehow.

And a message from Icesword:
These poses are tricky to photograph.

I think I'll add a few more baroque bits here and there once I see these finished, perhaps some aiguillette's or something to add a bit of elaboration. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aiguillette

Saber's might be an option slung on the belt but I want these to be plain in comparison to the armoured versions with gas masks.

Start of a rough Commissar, he'll have a bionic eye and a big eagle on the front of his armour.

Ah well. Would've made a good Lady Inquisitor, but I'm not exactly feeling the loss. I would've enjoyed painting it though.

Just my thoughts on the big monster alien.
The rear feet should perhaps be hooves. The 3 toed deal doesnt do it for me.
Will the final tail be longer?? More wipe like or something akin to a Stegosaurus
Also, will there be a option for the arms?? ie Claws or Ranged weapons??

Past that, looks great in the body and head area.
Keep it up.

Nah, i like the legs, they seem very origonal, and keep it away from people saying "that things a big ass carnifex" its all in the details that make things unique

Plus for some reason those toes remind me of the cloverfield monster, which is a good reason all in itself.

The nightmater is great, i love the GW one, but this really is the beas knees. Im not fussed about the greatcoats tbh, but these ones certainly do look like quality work

The three toes look a bit wierd, but I don't mind em. Besides, if you want hooves, they aren't hard to sculpt at all. And the toes provide a pre-existing template to build over, so with a little work you could easily change toes to hooves.

There will be 10 Great Coats in various poses. 7 male and 3 female models. Besides that there will be a Commissar who leads these units. After that Icesword was either going to expand that range or start working on some other factions after which he will return to the Great Coats.

THe legs of the female merc look good. but something abotu the arms doesn't look right... maybe it's the angle of the shot, but they look too think in places.

The arms don't look like there is an arm underneath the sleeve. No matter how taught the cloth is suppose to be, it would fold, bend, and crease on itself. If it was skin tight it would show a bit of musculature through it, but that is obviously not the intent.

I think its a good looking WIP, but I figured I'd give a try at articulating what Dreadnote and BaronIveagh seems to have been trying to get at.

thanks guys, appreciate the feedback, all of it. Yep, it's still WIP, and I will definitely act on your feedback. Those arms will get some lovin. I just need to finish work on the knife first, coz part of the sleeve will drape over it. Gotta sculpt from the inner parts outwards.

Concerning the merc: Maybe it's the angle but her right leg looks considerable thinner than her left one.

I'm not entirely sure why, but that organic mech sorta reminds me of the Reapers from Mass Effect. Probably just the general shape.
