I've always wondered just how big that terrain is!
Wicked I'm loving the idea of having that statue indoors.
My only concern is that the terrain is so big... won't it be hard to play games through?
Great update

Peter I had considered that while I was building it. I used a lot a ruined wall sections and the building is actually very accessible. I added a few more pics of it with a ruler showing it's 7 inch width and another with a guardsman in it for scale. This building is meant to be the focal point of the city , a capital building of sorts. I am very very excited to start adding all the little details
Thanks again Peter

Wow, this is so impressive. Read through the whole thing and just wow! I'd love a board and scenery. One thing I noticed and this is quite a fluff thing but on the board the buildings aren't straight and imPerial 'towns' are normally straight, fluff point really, sorry. Also are you going to go ahead train yard?

Hahahah One thing I noticed and this is quite a fluff thing but on the board the buildings aren't straight and imPerial 'towns' are normally straight, fluff point really, sorry.
No need to be sorry! When I set the board up I was like a kid on X-mas morning I just threw the buildings on. It was then that I did realize that the city was to sparse and in desperate need of more buildings So stuff your sorry in a sack! The train yard is still a project that I will be working on I need to add a few more normal buildings first. I am getting a set of storage tankers that will add a lot to the water plant. You will just have to stay tuned and see!
Thanks again for the comment and as always keep um coming,

Ok, now I'm at work and don't have a) a cat sitting on my laptop, or b) a game of Halo to play I shall make a more indepth comment
Is the building you have created a composite from all the kits you listed on the previous page, or a single kit? (it looks like parts from all the kits, but I am hoping it is a single kit )
On the last picture you have one of the buttresses fallen on the inside of the ruin - shouldn't it be on the outside?
Also, do you have any more of them, as I think the building could really do with some more just to lead the eye into the building rather than there just being a massive wall.
Any thoughts of adding some walkways around the walls? Many old churches have almost hidden passages around just below the roof - some sprue for supports stuck into the peg holes in the column sections of the walls could make good anchor points, then just add some plasticard/movement tray sections/etc on top and a small rail.
Just gives an extra dimension to the building and also allows people to make use of the upper windows and height of the building.
And I've said this before about large ruined church buildings that other people have made, but you really need some ruined benches and small statues of saints inside
Also, perhaps some stained glass printed onto OPH sheets in some of the windows and some small cut up shards littering the ground?
You don't even need to make windows to fit the holes, just print out some suitably scaled stained glass (photoshop has this feature - just have a random picture behind it and apply the stained glass filter), then cut to size.

VERY VERY EASY!! ... i just picked up one of every kit they have after i bought 1. Really cheap and good looking stuff when compared to most other similar terrain products. Those are all great ideas Silver thanks. To answer your general questions it IS all three kits combined. The buttresses are on the outside like the first picture! I built it on my coffee table and moved it to my work bench. I simply laid them inside for now. It will have a roof that comes off and more flooring is forth coming. Also I am adding pillars on the inside with models on top ie statues. I have even put the altar I made inside along with the termie. I am ordering these as well for the inside
whalemusic360 wrote:How easy is the terrain to put Pegasus together?
Yes and no Paul. You have to lay out a plan first but once you have a general idea it is very simople to put together. The box says it is a snap tight kit so really you don't need to glue it, but I strongly suggest you do!

I wouldn't say cheap per say. This building after shipping was about 65 bucks, I would say a HUGE value for what you get though

Your chapter choices are killin me Battle Brother Lucifer did an Angels Sanguine for me, but I doubt they will be next to each other, so it should be ok. Did you pick the one I specifically left off the list of successors? Remember, it doesnt really even have to be a BA successor chapter (for my project) and certainly could be a home brew chapter. No time rush. I'm not planning on really even doing to much with the board until May. I'm experimenting with the magnets now, I'll have a proof of concept up on the GMS in a few.

The building is bombed out, so you don't need to add much glass
Maybe just some fragments/shards sticking out around a few of the windows. Perhaps some of the larger ones with half the glass blown out?

Also I would like some feedback about this thread. Recently I have heard that it is good form to have a table of contents for longer threads. Let me know if you guys think this thread should have a table of contents

Well, the Pegasus kits are just good thats all GWs buildings often seem to me as if they arent epic enough, especially given the vast scale of imperial cities in the fluff.
Contents are always useful, perhaps you could just link to the completed buildings. Its certainly manageable enough at the moment imo
