@Bebopdrums - Thanks

@Ogryn - Cheers mate, Yep I sent the Mentor Legion guy I painted to him, he's very happy with him so I hear

@Jirc - Good to have you back man, what a game on Sunday eh? What a nail biter!

@Gits - Ah yes, the typical way I paint, all in pieces and hopefully it comes back together in the end

@LDP - Progress below my friend!

@Ice - I have a bad feeling it will be a plethora of little black lines every where, however since its a large object I might actually try and write something proper, or at least the first parts then when I get fed up with it, then it will go to squiggles.

Due to the Rugby game on and the subsequent hangover the following day I did bugger all. Feeling so seedy all I bothered to do was a door.

Mostly, on my phone.

Nice marbling! After that game, you deserve a hangover...
Oh, and the fig was beautiful. I shall get a pic up once I've painted its base (though it is made already as I got a little overexcited).

Very nicely done dude! your door looks lovely and i'm digging the mentor marine with the weathering! maybe just a fraction too much but what you've done certainly is done right! but his face is my fave, looks fantastic, sorry for sounding out of the loop, but are you painting a GK force purgation marines? or mentor marines? or are you just having a blast making us feel bad about how good your mini's look? :-)

@Graven - Oh yes, such a nail biter, edge of your seat, heart racing. Then followed up with oceans of amber fluid to sate the excitement demon! Also can't wait to see your man done on a base

@Ogryn - I'm honored you feel I'd be good enough to paint any of your models, if you are that keen hit me up on a PM and we can see what can be done?

@LDP - Hahah when you quote it like that I guess it does sound a little odd. I'm happy you like the door

@Tipios - Welcome back! I was wondering where you had gotten to, your blog went awfully quiet I was hoping you hadn't left.

@Nerdfest - Cheers for the comments, I agree with you there was a lot of things I picked up from trying my hand at weathering and less = more. Regarding whats up with the jumping between factions/chapters I decided I would do something nice for Graven (seeing as he's one of the many keeping me motivated with this blog) the result was a Mentor Legion Champion/Chapter Master/Veteran Sergeant/Rank and file trooper/what ever Graven want's to use him as. It also gave me a much needed break from Grey

Update, the house was stifling hot last night so didn't get a lot of painting done, some grey on one side of the LR but nothing to write home about or take a picture of (unless you really want to see a small section of grey on a large tank) fingers crossed I get a good solid time at painting tonight.

Edit: This is where I got to tonight.

Update: Another door done.

@GD1 - Thanks for the PM and the Videos mate! Les is truly inspirational with his skills, so stoked hes finally got a Golden demon under his belt as well, I haven't heard of the other site before so will have to check that out when I get a chance.

@Ogryn - Thank you for your continued praise, it does help a lot.

@Gits - Thanks mate

@LDP - Hahah, I might have to throw in another weathered guy just to mess with you then

@AndyMcmahon - Thank you for taking the time to comment

Update: BF3 has been released as such most of this weekend was taken up with going to a haunted mansion on Friday (Spookers) being on call for work on Saturday morning, going to Hot pools on Saturday afternoon, followed up by dinner with friends and Sunday was spent playing BF3 so not a lot of painting done. In saying that Sat morning I did finally get all the first stage grey done on the tank, this took ages to get done

Now its second stage coverage and then the whites/red/metals/skulls/parchments and It's done.

Awesome Land Raider Knightley, it looks fantastic! I am keen to buy one, might have to chuck it on my christmas list. Cheers Wifey! Anyway, how did BF3 go? I LOVED 1 and 2, so hopefully it is as good if not better?

@Ogryn - Thank you for the continued support!

@Jirc - Cheers mate, sounds like a LR would be the perfect Xmas present imo. BF3 is awesome, I seriously need to upgrade my PC though, running it on low and I still get the odd slow down, still worth it though.

@Graven - Seems like its about time to bolster my defenses, seems some one is after my head... and hand.... wait is this some awkward marriage proposal?

Update: the front guns are done, not 100% sold on the white sword but the tank will have plenty of red to break up the sea of grey and it needed more white though. Also I know one of the guns looks like its had a hard night out, but the metal versions are a pain to work with.

Choice, I might have to give it a go. I just updated my PC recently, what are you running?

Turret looks nice dude, but like you said not too sure about the white sword. It kinda looks like it has been left primer white. When I paint white I try to paint it really light grey then edge highlight with a little white, not that I need to tell you how to paint, ha ha ha. Talk soon mate.

Running a Q6600 quad core, 9800GTX+ graphics card and 2 GB ram, I'm struggling to run it on low, but damn its worth it

Thoughts on the White sword, what colour do you feel it should be? Silver? Gold? Black? Red? ideas are welcome

Update:

Side guns basically done, these ones are metal as well and were a pain to paint, barrels not drilled because my small drill bit is borked to buggery.

I'd go red for the gun to be honest, I love your deep blood reds, they look fantastic!

ok so not too bad. I bought an I5 2.6ghz Quad qith 8 gigs of ram, no graphics card yet though, I want to get a saphire 6770 for it soon though. But it is about the same price as 3 Razorbacks...

Hurricane bolters look mint, but like gitsplitta said, I would also drill the barrels.

Like the red on the guns too. Drilling barrels on metal hurricanes is a pain, but worth it. Nightmarish bloody things to assemble, too. Also, I would red the sword. Quality goods mate!

@Gits - Thanks man, I will drill those barrels, just need to source a new bit

@Jirc - Red you say, will see what I think when the tank is done. If you do start playing BF3 add me Knightley_NZ

@Graven - Agreed man, assembling the tank when I first got it.... never again very very happy they came out with a plastic version is all I can really say.

Update: for a change I did a servo skull before playing BF3 all night. Does anyone know where this skull came from? I have a bunch of plastic ones from the GK sprue and the devastator sprue, but this one is metal and I haven't the foggiest where it came from.
