The first link is dead to me, and I'm leery of doing the whole ringamarole of the second link, to be honest. The last thing I want is extra stuff on my computer to "see what I like and offer me more of the same."

Absolutely understand, but there will be no extra stuff on your computer, and that's a promise. I wouldn't know how to do that even if I wanted to, which I wouldn't 'cause I can't stand that sort of stuff.

I perhaps should mention, after reading some of the comments on this thread, that while we are quite flattered to appear as this huge international conglomerate, there's actually only 3 of us working on this, and a couple of freelancers. We'll most likely be hiring soon, but at this point in time, we just spend pretty much our entire life at the office. OK, 'tis true, we are evilly planning to take over the world, but we stop at taking over other people's computers, and that's the honest truth ;-)

Hey no, I wasn't trying to imply you were up to anything sinister with the whole facebook thing, more just poke fun at the concept as revenge for all the times people poke fun at me for not using it

Me neither. Facebook just has a tendency to run apps and extra stuff in your browser. Not a snipe at you AT ALL, mate. I want and would love to see your mini on my table.

Facebook really has some problems and the whole "share this and that, do it! Do it, do it, do it, do it, DO IT NOW!" is often very uncomfortable, I just don't want to penetrate people I know with everything I do and like. But I like the platform for news and for the possibility to give a very prominent feedback. I think the RH Sweepstake is made in a good way.

And yeah I agree, moar pics or better - let the KS finally begin I hope there will be a preannouncement a day or so before, don't want to miss the start, especially when there is early bird.^^

This KS is going live in April, but probably not before the 15th. From their facebook page they have said "April, definitely!" and "We know that from the outside, it looks like this is taking forever, but believe me when i tell you that we have not had a free week-end for quite many weeks now, and we're bringing in extra help within the next 10 days to assist with the administrative and shipping side of things."

I've never run a kickstarter before, but I imagine these extra people are needed to get it off the ground and they are needed "within the next 10 days" so it sounds like they have their own deadline to get everything ready before the 15th (10 days from now).

If they start next week, hopefully they run a 45 day campaign and not a 30 day. Reason being April 15th. Everyone living in the US knows what this date is (if you don't you're too young or in really big trouble). People will be tapped due to tax day or will be waiting for returns. By running it 45 days, that gives them the window that people get their returns while the KS is running and promptly spend it

In that case I hope they delay it a bit more,

45 days for a 'small, new(to KS) company' is probably too long and you run a real risk of mid campaign stall then crash

As far as I know they wanted 45 days anyway, I think it is the time region for most of the tabletop Kickstarters. The new pic is great and I really hope it starts on the 15th.

My wallet is prepared.

If it does run 45 days instead of 30 then my money is on the bet that they have prepared oodles of content to keep people interested. We've seen relatively very little come out so far but what has been released has been pretty awesome, especially this last picture.

As for the April 15th remark, I've filed and now I'm just waiting on the return. I think most people who want the money file before the 15th or they file an extension since they will have all the paperwork they could ever need by the beginning of March.

But if their reputation is to run late constantly, then it might be better to keep this one tighter, ie a 30 day one, and happily surprise everyone.

It would be nice to see more than just concept art at the outset, actually. Like actual sculpts or 3D prints.

Sadly I don't think the length of Kickstarter will have much to do with whether or not they're late...later on down the road!
