Yeah..I've been thinking about how you could do that with the new plastic bommer kits

that flying fortress is awesome...brings forth a whole new side to the game... dogfights.... well this is utterly cool!
and the first model is surley a scratchbuild?

the yellow one i find particular intriguing.,.. somehow i think yellow is atm one of my favorite colors...tho it is THE royal painters pain^^...

and i somehow assumed it would have been an ork model...the thunderbolt well this would look too awesome if one could do such a scene...

Personally, while its a cool idea Dave... I think the bommer kits main fuselage is too fat for it to look right... maybe for the central pilot fuselage it'd work, but I think it'd be a question of scratch building the other two booms as they are much thinner!

I'm also been musing plans to convert a stormtalon, by extending its tail section and lengthening the wings, but also reconfiguring the weapons hard points... the whole thing for me is a tad confusing to look at, and it really doesn't look like its capably of flying

It can't fly Childe..lol It's a brick

at dave yellow with AB is one hell of a good choice i say!!!

and childe... that stromtallon could fly... if i toss it at the next wall... i think this is again one epic failure for the SM... drives me further away from ever competing my SM army... really... after the fling brick we get a brick looking fly...do i sense a pattern here?

Fair enough Dave...

and the brick side of things is why I want to change it

Well, the one bommer is likely smaller than the scratchbuild, so this will help me finish the scratchy one, and oh man can't wait to them paint 'em both!

True Skalk... but I'm still going to extend its tail section and lengthen the wings while angling them down. it just makes more aerodynamical sense to me tbh...

aerodynamical sense for a kit that has the whole mass stored with the cockpit and some frilly bitz attached that others would call count as wings^^

Lol, The Apache and Cobra hardly look like they can fly either, but they do... and don't even get me started on the housing block that is the Hind-D

It'll be some time Dave before I do... I really need to get 1500pts of my nids bought before I go too much more off the beaten track (says the guy who's bid £50 on 20 SoB )

The ceramite looks awesome!!!... I'm going to try some pre weathering at some point (using masking fluid over pre painted battle damage)
