Since I couldn't find a post that wasn't over a year old...
Possible villain sighting at the 2:03 and 2:06 marks.

Only downside? Another Mighty Morphin' Nano-Helmet, this time for Hawkman. I wonder if it'll vanish every time he has to deliver a line of dialogue during a fight scene.

I didn’t take a close look at Hawkman’s helmet in the trailer but normally his helmet ends at the beak over his nose so maybe not. Doctor Fate and Atom Smasher on the other hand...

Not sold on Pierce as Dr Fate (or that he's holding his helmet so often rather than wearing it), but given Fate's presence (and the Justice Society)...

Wotan or maybe Klarion?
Though I would've been happier with Black Adam as the villain. Far more what I'm used to.
As is, it feels like the trailer is stressing the Blue on Blue misunderstanding that will last a tiny portion of the movie, abruptly end with a 'Martha!' and then move to the actual plot.

I really hope that isn’t a Klarion, would be an extremely different take on him than what I’m used to with his child form.
I actually agree, I just ran low of named 'demonic' foes that I know about in the DC universe that are also powerful enough that someone as detached as Dr Fate would actually care enough about and need (more) help with.
Of course, we could just be seeing glimpses of somebody's foot soldiers. I can't quite shake the vibe that the trailer is intentionally deceptive, and some things are far less important than whats being shown. But then, its apparently another stealth ensemble movie rather than a character movie now, so... yeah. I'm feeling a bit skeptical, and look forward to undercooked characters trying to establish a DC cinematic universe again.

It's Sabbac (and not Sabacc, the game that Han Solo plays ).

Can't not have an ensemble of heroes now. If this had a connection to the Shazam movies it wouldn't be a big deal cos, y'know, Black Adam is a baddie for Shazam.
But now we've got the JSA who have apparently been around this whole time with an X-mansion and everything. How DC managed to fumble their universe is just bananas. Where was the JSA when Earth got invaded? Or when it got invaded again? Or when Atlantis did that thing in the Aquaman film?

From the trailer alone I am super excited for this. No knowledge from comics so I will probably miss half of the important details but expect to have a lot of fun watching the movie.

I mean that's just superhero comics... er films.. being what they are.
I'd say its less of a fumble and more that they just really have never cared about the whole greater picture of the setting. With the number of reboots, retellings, reworkings and all - from soft to hard. To one-off's that suddenly become "canon" and more. What films pair with what films and when and why is about as hard to work out as with their various comic series. In the end you either manage to construct a mental map of how it all fits together (which likely involves a LOT of "this only works because of different timelines and continuities") or you accept each story (film/comic) is basically stand alone. It might tie in with a few others, but ultimately each one is just designed to be experienced on its own or in small groups.
It's one big reason I've never even tried to get into them in any big way. It's just such a "mess" if you are after a complete picture unless you can keep up 100% with everything all as it comes out. Even then its still a mess, but you're so wrapped up and along for the ride that you either don't care or you've got your own mental map of how it might work.
The thing is, with the MCU it's pretty well mapped as to when/where things/people are and why things happen the way they do.
New characters get introduced as new to the scene like Falcon, Dr. Strange, or Scarlet Witch. DC so far has introduced two whole characters that weren't already established as their superhero versions in Man of Steel and Wonder Woman. The DCU was too rapid in trying to get ensemble movies out to challenge the Avengers when the MCU was still primarily doing individual movies that tied into the wider setting but still focused on the individual characters.
DC also decided that dark and edgy had to be the go-to for every single film in the DCU. There's such a huge lack of "good" in their films that when we got James Gunn's Suicide Squad, the actual villains in that were better heroes than Superman or Batman.

I don’t remember there being an announcement that the ‘Shazam’ and ‘Black Adam’ movies share a cinematic universe with the Justice League. Did I miss an announcement somewhere?

Amanda Waller is present in this new trailer. By connecting the dots between Suicide Squad having Batflek show up and then the DCU Superman suit making a cameo in the end credits for Shazam 1, they share the same universe. Also, yeah it was confirmed the film is in the same universe and DC is still making plans to put Black Adam in a bunch of crossovers despite the obvious failure of its cinematic universe.

Eh. I'd say we could sit here and poke ALL KINDS of holes in the idea of MCU being so well mapped out. MCU fans just choose to paper over them in their minds, and that truly is fine. "They were doing something else" is a conceit from comics that kinda has to be ported over to the film universes for them to work. Also, I wouldn't call Aquaman, Shazam, WW2, JL, or surprisingly even Snyder's JL cut 'dark and edgy'. MoS isn't really either of those things either, even if it lacks the saving kittens from trees and cornball humor of the '78 film. BvS on the other hand was the full Zack Snyder experience, and clearly the colossal misstep in the whole enterprise given that it still has people conflating the tone of that film with the tone of the entire DCEU.
Bringing this back around to Black Adam...I'm sure this one will have plenty of DJ glowering and playing the bad-a$$ antihero, but I don't expect it to go full Snyder. Looks like it only strives to be a popcorn film, and that's perfect at a time when the theater industry could use more of those. I'm surprised by the comment about Brosnan, though...from what little we've seen, I feel like he/his character might be the one I'm most looking forward to seeing. Hawkman's up there too. BA himself...well, we kinda know what we're gonna get there. Atom Smasher and Cyclone I couldn't give two gaks about, lol.

Sorry, but Earth 1 and Earth 2 could both have an Amanda Waller with both being nearly identical and still not be in the same universe.

... does there need to be?
Its DC comics characters with some of the same characters and even same actors. I'm not sure why you need a formal announcement.

That might just be a me and my own biases thing. I still think of Pierce Brosnan mostly as Remington Steele (reinforced by his Bond stint, ironically), so a stiff, humorless British stereotype who'd be a wonky fit for a superhero movie.
I also mostly have a negative view of Dr. Fate as well (what I've seen/read of him is profoundly negative), so... yeah. Not exactly a pull.

Yup, there's toys and everything if you want a better look.
Honestly, the film looks pretty good. Not like, exceptionally great, but more satisfying that a lot of what we've seen from DC. My only gripe is as much as I like the Rock, his charms kind of work against what makes the character compelling. Black Adam is much like Dr. Doom; arrogant, intimidating but ultimately deserving the respect he demands. When he says "I kneel before no one" it needs to come with the understanding that to remain standing in his presence is a challenge. It's not a defiant statement, but a command, and none of the delivery throughout the trailer carries that kind of gravitas.
It's important to note that Dr Fate is 2 people. The man who plays host and the spirit of Fate inhabiting the helmet. We have seen Brosnan talking without the helmet on. We have seen previous little of Fate himself.
Interested to see how this all goes. Liking Hawkman.
These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

I agree. This is going to actually suffer from the Rock being cast just like Will Smith makes for a terrible miscast of Deadshot. You put someone who cannot play a villain in as a villain/antihero. He isn't supposed to be likable. He can be sympathetic. He can be cool and powerful. He can have great heroic moments. But he's a monster. And I don't think the Rock will play him as the monster he is. And yes, while this one movie will be fun. It does look like some of the best DCEU has had to offer. It's... nothing. It's not going to link to anything. It's not going to carry forward. This is one more movie in the Snyder verse that is circling the drain while they drag their feet on a reboot.

While Black Adam has the most direct ties to Captain Marvel/Shazam, he's also been a notable presence in the JSA, particularly in the run between 1999 & 2006 - and was a member of the JSA for 24 issues during that period.

I'm pretty confident BA and Shazam will cross over eventually. DJ's people also produced Shazam. If BA and Shazam 2 both make bank (and they'll probably do nicely), there'd be no reason not to, and this Rock-verse will probably continue on.
Hard to say much about how it links into the wider DCEU when we don't know what form that will take going forward. It is possible that the end credits scene on opening night will shed some light on that. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the one that test audiences saw.
