Very awesome Might have to pick one up, though I am really trying to cut back on lust buying models I don't have an army for :( You should just cast your figures in uncut meth and be done with it!

Also, thanks for the book references! It is always good to see what people whose work you respect are using to learn, considering how much raw info is out there, and how much of it is crap. I will be picking up two or three to read on the blessed day I have less class time and quit my bloody job. Exalt!

True..true the rule of cool must be obeyed.

Wehrkind:

Thank you. Good luck with the references they're all truly great books that have a great deal to teach. I know every time I re-read them I gain new insights, after all the basic of learning to draw, sculpt, or paint copying others to gain experience. So, its very important that you pick the right people to emulate. That and being comfortable with your tool of choice. You really have to get to the point where your tools are just extensions of your hands. I probably have 40+ tools but only use 2 for 99% of my sculpting.

DeathKorp:

Thank you! I'll have new auction up by the end of the week for the DP 1, 2, 3.

Updates:

I had to re-mold the DP 1 &2 as the mold were breaking down and starting to lose their crisp detail. I been casting so many copies that the heavily textured parts, like the wings and heads were literally shredding the molds. That and the fast that and numerous tiny undercuts created by crevices in various parts were ripping out chunks of silicon..

I also didn't keep the first pulls form the molds....stupid. So I had to use the original sculpts to make new molds. Sadly, a lot of the original parts suffered damage when they were cut out of the original molds. Necessitating allot of patching and re=sculpting of details. It took three #$$%!!! days to get done, and prevented me from doing other neat stuff. Ah well...

Notice I went heavy on the venting this time, using recycled sprue...

Oh and I finally got myself 2 boxes of Seekers to play with... So, you can expect to see 4 Heralds in Chariots soon.

Also, their are like 30 DP's out is their and not one of you has posted up a single picture...for shame! And yes I have not forgotten the promised bits for though early purchasers. Your swords hands and assorted bit are going in the mail this weekend.

Anyway, more later!

I'm not a fan of those Ogre's. But that bigger Deamon you are sculpting is beautiful! The wings are very neat, very well done.

You know, looking at it like that just now, she totally needs a she-wolf head. Looking at the pose instantly brought to mind the opening canto of Dante's Inferno. Hrm... might be an interesting possibility...

Anyway, I am really looking forward to the books (and kind of hoping the wife picks them up for my birthday, my own funds being a little tight) and definitely hear you on the sculpting practice. I just realized yesterday that I have been using the same Imex brush for 4 years (!) for about 80% of all my strokes. Definitely an example of it becoming an extension of myself, I use it for everything from pupils and tiny details to base coats. A fine use of 8$

I've also managed to get them all re-molded, and consolidated the million of so molds I had lying around into a few compact sprues. There also coming out pretty near flawless on the sprue. I'll post up some pictures of the head, weapon, arms, and accessory sprues, but for now here are the bodies.

This is truly amazing work; too bad that you can't use it in the LA bunker. For some reason the manager demands everything be 100% GW product and family friendly at the same time.

On a side note: the legs on your Soul Grinders remind me of ballet boots, was that the intention?

Just ordered your #2 princess, and Ican't wait!!!

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Stuff:

I finally go my Seekers yeah! The horrible...horrible things I'll do to those minis. The steeds are so awesome, so much character and detail. Must, not consider re-sculpting the wyrms to match the newer seekers. Also must not consider sculpting new steeds for my pleasureseekers to match the newer seeker design.... Damn...I thought about it and I actually like the idea.

Hears what I'm working on at the momment:

1. Still working on designs for my 4 giger-esque chairots, that will be drawn by the new plastic seekers.
2. Working of a heavily giger-esque theme throne for the Soul Grinder.
3. I'm molding the Soul Grinder's occupant this weekend. First pull be Sunday evening, if my skill in the "Dark Arts" be strong enough.
4. Working on special daemonette characters to represent: the Masque, skull-taker, the changling, the blue scribes and Epidimus
5. Converting riders for and reposing 30 or so seekers
6. Cleaning up the casts of 13 DP's that have to ship out tomorrow.

Replies:

Timonth:

Thank you for the kind words. People either love or hate the ogres being included. I'll be going back over them to sell the glutton aspects, and I think when they're pained they'll be better tied into the army as a whole.

weetyskemian44:

Thank you! Their are actual some very large phallic send offs is this army. The DP's "fleash whips" have throbbing veins for a reason buddy! That and when um...er...stiff it can serve as lance.

Father Gabe:

Thanks! Love the avatar by the way...I don't recall catholic school being nearly as awsome though.

Wehrkind:

Good luck with the books I'm sure that they'll help tons, I find myself refering to the Edouard Lanteri book almost daily. Oh, I forgot to metion it but he also has two onther books, that are equally good on sculpting animals. Instruction from the guy that taught Roudin should be good enough for anybody!

gameandwatch

Thankspal! I have to make a confession here. I been procrastinating on painting this army cause I'm scared I'm not good enough yet to do it justice. I don't want to paint them to just table top quality and I have to much pride to have someone else do it for me...sigh. But, gotta get started. So, I'm starting the first squads on daemonettes tomorrow. I plan to speed a week on those 10 little minis and a equal number of Black Templars. I will get this done. Although, the suck maybe great initially.

l33tninj4

Not really surprised I've met some GW that don't like heavy conversions or even True scale stuff. Another reason to never game there.

Happygrunt:

Oh I've played them un-painted, against an almost equally gray IG army...man I love/hate IG. But paint is coming, just remember that you all asked for it! Anybody, know any good Chicagoland painters willing to take on a disciple, let me know.

P.S. Im serious here...help...

Lost somewhere in the Face of Terror.

I don't know how you could use them, but freebooter makes a few types of naked female sculpts that you could use for different things. Put them on DP Bases, have them 'counts as' a daemonette thats sort of 'undercover' or just looks hot. You should take a look at them, either on the freebooter webside, or Eledamris has posted a few pics of them with his daemonettes somewhere in P&M (In 'Post your best Daemons here' page 1)
Again... no idea what you could use them for.

Sersi, absolutely stunning work here, I love absolutely all of it! I particularly find myself pining for the male KOS you sculpted. I love the artwork of him, and to have one for real would be incredible!

Are you still planning on molding him and possibly selling them? If so do you have a timescale they might be ready on?

Thanks!

Jack

Hello,
Entertainingly enough, your work is what made me get a log in for this site, I am thinking about getting one of your demons, however I want to see the soulgrinder done first, (I might want her instead first) , I mainly have been painting for the last few years on some commision work and some just likeing the toy soldiers. You may have me starting back into 40k now...after a hiatus since 3rd edition power creep. So... I know who to send my wife yelling at! Your work is amazing, and you have earned the compliments and laurels given to you. So on that note finsh her throne so I can decide! As for suggestions on the throne, I was thinking a lavishly covered tattoo/barber chair with a rod above it for chain suspension, perhaps having individual cushions instead of the mono pillow like ones though. I have a drawing somewhere of what I am thinking of, but it will have to wait till I find it.

No, spraying three colors on your minis does not count as painted! 5k+

or wait that's blashemy... Slaneesh is the only real god!
anyway..

I've been drooling at your work since the beginning, but never realised that you would actually sell them :O
I've been looking for just the right KoS for my army, and your princess models are just.. amazing!
Bothers me a bit that they only have 2 arms for a KoS though, but still by FAR the best model for it ive come across at a resonable price (DAMN YOU FORGEWORLD!)
Now the only problem is... should i buy 2 or 3 or both... decisions, decisions :(

Space Marines you say... somewhat tempted now to commit the atrocity of buying one of the dps and giving her some scant power armour... need to investigate further though, before making an investment. Cool idea? Yes. Good idea? Maybe. Fiscally sound idea? Erm.... I dunno
