What is the Primaris Lieutenant thing a reference to?

^Probably because they pop up everywhere. Literally everywhere. Even when not invited. Pop up Primaris.

Will be nice for once not to have a Primaris Lt appear. Whether he is limited or not.



It's really a GW in-joke because they know people complain everytime Primaris Lts appear, so for this Preview it's kind of reinforcing that there will be no WH40K on show.

'Primaris Lieutenant' is a meme, because it feels like every second limited release model is a Primaris Lieutenant, and almost every larger release is accompanied by another one (just look into the Space Marine Datasheets, they have like 12 different Primaris Lieutenants, and that's just the ones that are distinct enough to warrant separate sheets).

I believe its also because a Primaris character/marine character is often what GW gets new sculptors to make to test that they can design within GW's scale, style and themes. So they wind up with a lot of them ready for production. Coupled to Marine's general high sales and popularity.

GW has also for a while been doing a lot of leader/character model one-off releases. You can really see it in some of the AoS armies that are smaller (eg fyreslayers) where you can often have more models in the leader slot as choices than in the troops.

You just notice it way more with Marines because they are Marines.

I think the Old World and Heresy communities will expect too much yet again, get a small reveal and declare both systems dead within seconds.

I just hope there are no more chaos warbands for Warcry unless they are one of the 4 demon god forces only. Slaves have almost an entire second factions worth of warcry models

Don't get me wrong they are awesome models but even GW has to see that the imbalance is bonkers

We already got a roadmap last time and the next six warbands are 3 order, 2 destruction, 1 death

Would be nice to see some new units for Brets that are not resin heroes. Prepared to be dissapointed.

As far as Heresy goes we do have the limited roadmap info to make predictions from. Confirmed summer HH releases are the already-announced Cerastus Lancer, and some unspecified new characters & upgrades in resin. The latter seems like a shoe-in for this preview.
In Autumn we have the Deredeo, new armour mark, and other Cerastus variants in plastic, plus an updated Primarch in resin. Of those the Cerastus model(s) seem most likely to show off following the existing Acheron leak. I'm not confident about seeing any of those other models just yet, given some are likely to be an October/November release.

Then of course there's the "not-Epic" teaser to hear more about...

I'd be shocked if the Acheron didn't make a showing especially as we already know it's coming.
I am interested to see what characters are shown.

For HH i suspect a closer look at the next box (maybe) that we speculated we've already seen the art for, more of the Knights we know are coming, and something like a close-up of a belt buckle or a boot or whatever for the Primarch model they announced, just something that does not immediately tell you who it is

Wasn't the rumour/s pointing towards it being the Feribundus (spelling?)
A deredeo would seem the logical choice though and rounds out the dreads in plastic.

I'm guessing we'll see plague monks for Underworlds. Hopefully Epic won't be the only HH reveal

Definitely the Acheron which isn't a shock. Epic Heresy isn't too big of a surprise either considering that's how the whole thing started off anyway.

If all we get for the heresy is the knight that already leaked, I will be bummed.
