That's exactly it. I'd love to see a Lucius pattern Reaver like that done in 28mm. The rounded look is nice, but I prefer the industrial squared-off look.

Come to think of it it's probably just the head I don't like in that picture. Or like, the angle of the head. Stupid forgeworld photographers.

I still want to build a Warlord, but the cost is high. Going to work it out when I get a bit more income.

Still, the idea of attending a Tanksgiving with a Warlord seems worth the time, money, and effort just to see the collective jaws hit the floor.

Well here's the one I'm working on. It's based on a set of old AT-AT legs. Since I have another pair of legs I plan on doing a second Warlord (and I need to finish the Reaver too). I was shooting for 24" but it comes out to 26". Most of the armor plates (thigh, shin, crotch, etc) aren't glued on because I wanted to paint them separately. The torso is fully rotatable and removable. I was going to keep the legs able to articulate, but it wouldn't support all the weight.

About cost, the four AT-AT legs cost me $20. The rest is a single length of PVC pipe, some elbows and T-Junctions, poster board, for sale signs, bottle caps, very cheap. I guess I did splurge on the Cities of Death kit and I'm thinking of just buying Forgeworld Warhound Turbo-Lasers to mount on the shoulders.

That thing's beautiful. The guns look a bit undersized compared to the body and head. If you make them bigger it might make the legs look small though. Still awesome!

Absolutely amazing. It is a goal of mine to do one of those some day and I knew Odin would turn up sooner or later. I personally think it is closer to imperator size than warlord size. I wish someone would post I guide on how to do a sturdy light weight skeleton for a warlord and how to attach the body. I would be straight off for my closest place for PVC and foam board

edit: sorry I also forgot to say I saw one of these titans on ebay for either £1000 ore $1000 I can't remember which

The scale just doesn't look right between the warhound and the warlord. Is the warlord too big or is the warhound too small?

The warlord is too big. Like, twice as big as it should be.

In fact, look a little closer - it's an emperor, or something like it. Four carapace weapons. Awesome looking nonetheless.

The basing on that red French titan makes sad panda sad though:

Why would you spend all that time, effort and skill building such a superb model and then skimp on the basing and mount it on a piece of warped crappy two-ply particle board?!!?

Why not buy a decent thickness base that won't warp and doesn't detract from the model?

In all fairness that monstrosity dates back to the days of ginormous scale titans in the fluff, since if I recall Bulldoguk's story it was built in the early 90's. I love it just because I loved the old beetle-backs from Adeptus Titanicus. These days call it an Emperor and be done with it though
